Hope to see you there, John!

This is shaping up to be a really good day of CST.

It's also a lot of work, so come prepared to sweat your guts out. ;)

As the flier says, the focus is CST for Martial Arts and MMA, but don't worry if that isn't your thing. This will be an introduction to all 3 Rings of CST and it's open to and suitable for anyone. The examples and explanations will be geared towards martial arts and how to enhance performance in that venue, but this is all CST, and I'll be happy to answer questions not related to combat sport.

I generally have three specific goals when I do a seminar. Firstly, I want people to walk away with a couple complete programs that they can start incorporating into their personal practice the day after the seminar (in this case, we'll cover a top to bottom Intu-Flow progression, FlowFit, and a metcon circuit you can put to use right away). I do this because so many of the benefits of CST come through consistent practice. I believe that if you take what we covered and practice it, you'll be hooked. Second, I want each participant to walk away with at least one idea or insight into a specific problem area that they have. I make sure I get a chance to work with everyone individually so we can accomplish that. Finally, my hope is that everyone finishes the day by doing something they never thought they could do that morning.

If you're curious about what to expect, go to the Articles page of my website (http://www.rmaxstaff.com/murdock/articles.html) and scroll down to the seminar reviews. I've put a few up there that are pretty representative of the events I run.

As if all this wasn't enough, I have the good fortune of being assisted by CST Instructor Will Chung. Will isn't just a first-rate CST Instructor, he's an incredibly accomplished martial artist and most recently a columnist for Black Belt magazine (check out his work in the current issue, on newsstands now!).

If you have any questions, please feel free to post them here.

I hope to see you there! :)

Sounds great, Coach. Even though I've stepped away from my Martial Arts training at the moment, I plan on attending.

Looking forward to it,

John

I've hosted a seminar with Coach Murdock some time ago in Germany and was impressed with his deep knowledge of the CST system, his professional and christal clear explanation and his ability to find the cure for performance hindrance, sometimes in minutes.

Please invest you time and money and go there - I promise you won't regret it!

Thanks for your kind words, guys.

We're working hard to make this a big event and to spread CST throughout the Eastern seaboard. If you'd like to help spread the word, please download the Seminar Poster PDF (http://www.rmaxstaff.com/murdock/newjerseyseminar.pdf) and pass it around, post it everywhere, and send it out to your contact list.

Thank you for your help. We appreciate it.

This is probably close enough for me to attend. My soon-to-be 17 year old son is interested in coming, too--there's not a problem with the age, is there?

We are honored to have this opportunity for Coach Murdock to share his knowledge with us. I am very excited and honored to be a part of this. I am so looking forward to seeing my old friend and learning from him as I always do. He is world class caliber as I have witnessed what that means as an employee of the '88 Olympics. He is one of the most travelled and experienced men I know and his ability to coach is one of the best to date.

I am also looking to meet other CST enthusiasts and people from the area, so please come out if you even have an inkling to come. We will do our best to make it an genuine experience.

Glenn - of course not. You're both very welcome.

Live instruction with such an innovative mensch as Coach Murdock? You'd be crazy not to attend if you were anywhere near to close.

You can have read every post in the forum and articles written, along with have every DVD, Rmax has published, but nothing beats in-person training with the Faculty Coaches. I get better every time I work with them. It's just the way it is.

I organised a seminar with Coach Murdock a while back and will definitely do it again. Why? Because I would be stupid not to! All the seminar participants really enjoyed the seminar and nothing beats live training with the Faculty Coaches.
Take action and sign up for this, you´ll be glad u did...

Folks,

We've set up a dedicated website with all the information for the seminar, plus a paypal link for those who want to register: New Jersey CST Seminar (https://sites.google.com/site/healthyworkouts/)

You'll also find a downloadable PDF flyer on the site. It's printable and makes a great poster for your wall (umm... tasteful uses only please...)

Please pass the link around to everyone you know, and help us spread the word about CST! :)

Hmmm. I'll have to run this one past the Ways and Means Committee. But it is sort of in my neck of the woods. Kinda. :)

Hey Folks,

The Jersey seminar is quickly approaching. I'm off to Sweden at the start of May, and then gearing up fully for CST New Jersey!

I'll be coming back with all the latest goods from Coach Sonnon - we're working with some of our fighters and coaching staff while in Europe, and the Jersey seminar participants will be the first to get the gossip on all that stuff ;)

We're also going to cover a TACFIT circuit or two in the afternoon. It's a great chance to get a taste of that - if you think you can handle it....

Hope to see you there. :)

Folks, if you're anywhere near Jersey you'd be crazy to let this opportunity slip by. There is simply no subsitute for live coaching and until you've experienced that you haven't fully experienced CST!

Don't miss out.

I've put together a couple short primers that might be of interest to those new to CST. These movements are pretty represetative of the type of innovation you find in CST Bodyweight Exercise, and the material i'll be coaching at this seminar.

The first is on the CST Quad Press (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6W02ToId-NQ). I also discuss the structure of the quad squat, and common mistakes beginners tend to make with it.

The second is on the CST Quad Hop (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rzmNyOpLcDI) - taking your quat squat airborne.

Enjoy!

Hey Folks,

A small change of plan with this event.

Due to the requests i've been receiving, and to coincide with the launch of the larger program, i've decided to change the curriculum for this event.

The focus of the seminar will now be TACFIT. The webpage (https://sites.google.com/site/healthyworkouts/) has been updated to reflect that.

We won't have access to the equipment needed for the full TACFIT program. Instead, participants will be taken through each of the energy systems of TACFIT in bodyweight-only circuits, along with a joint mobility session to prime ourselves for work, and closing with a Prasara session to release some of the tension we've put in.

I'm not going to kid you, the pace and volume will be gruelling. But everyone's free to sit out when they need a break. I encourage you to try at least some of each circuit so you can get a taste of the energy system and how it cascades to create the overall TACFIT effect.

If you need more info on the program, please see Coach Sonnon's blog (http://www.rmaxinternational.com/flowcoach/?p=553) and the new TACFIT website (http://www.rmaxinternational.com/tacfit/tacfit.php).

I'm off to Sweden in a couple hours, so please contact Vinny (the seminar host) if you have questions. For questions related to the curriculum, please post them here and I'll reply when I'm back from Europe.

I look fwd to seeing you there! :)

Just want to confrim: I no longer have to bring my clubs, as there will no longer be a Clubbell® session, correct?

Thanks.

John

John,

If you want to bring them, I'll give you variations so that you can use them in your circuits. Will is also bringing some. We'll have a few, but not enough for everyone to use simultaneously.

If you have the energy and are up for it, Will is still able to conduct the Clubbell breakout session. It's also a great chance for you to check your form or get questions answered.

Thanks, Coach. I'll definitely bring mine.

See you soon...

Hi Folks,

We've run into some timing issues with this event and have been forced to reschedule.

Vinny, the seminar organizer, has already been in contact with those of you who have registered. For everyone else, we're working to slot a new date in this fall. Unfortunately I'm booked solid all summer, and that's the next available window. We'll get new dates up here as soon as we can (I'm headed to the far east and the middle east on assignment in the latter part of the year, trying to juggle a NJ TACFIT date in among that).

Our apologies for the shift. We'll do what we can to make it fit.
