Well I feel a bit of a fraud joining this forum, because I don't have any clubbells, I don't own any of Mr Sonnon's books or videos, and I don't do any martial arts..
I came across this site on my travels through cyberspace and I was really struck by the combination of philosophy and exercise, it's a combination I've been trying to make for a long time now in my mind and never quite glued them together. I came across your 'musings' and immediately Nietzsche came to mind, there is something about the way you flipped everything in my mind that brings you two together. Nietzsche can look at society and see that we have become, a sanitised world devoid of heroes and cruelty, and I like to think that us knuckledraggers stand outside society in this respect in a similar way to the ubermensch.
Anyway, coming back to reality for a moment, perhaps a little about myself. I am 23, I have a degree in Politics, I've been Olympic lifting and grip training for about five years now and I am constantly searching for ways to better myself as we all should be. My long term goals I'm not too sure about, but then the journey is more important than the destination right? My favourite tool at the moment for wrist and grip strength is my trusty sledgehammer, which I love like my unborn child for it's ability to strengthen the tendons and ligaments of the wrist. Clubbells will be on my shopping list soon.
