Funny thing. Scott Talks about getting one's grip stronger, than one will truley get the most benefits from the clubs.

Coach Davies, has tons of exercises and complexes, but the main aspect that it hits is one's grip as well.

Back in the old days, there were farmers, and most people do labor all day, which kills ones girp. ALl they had was thick dumbells, etc back in the days, so one had no choice but to have strong grip/wrist/forarms, if they wanted to be strong.

Its all in the grip  :D  :P 8)

Your right on that Jason - A weak grip will produce limitations in your conditioning.

When first embarking on work with the Clubbell, one will certainly be "exposed", as the hands need to play catch up. The gap that bridges the two, however rapidly decreases with training consistency, particularly once your GPP - General Physical Preparedness of the basic drills, seemlessly flows with incremental progression, into the increased sophistication of SPP -Specific Physical Preparedness.

Bottom line - strong grip = strong body

Up until starting my Clubbell training, I always thought I had a decent grip. I always did deadlifts, wrist curls, hammer curls, pullups, etc..

To my surprise when I first wielded my 15lb Clubbell, I realized my grip wasn't as strong as I thought it was. This started me on Grip specific training and of course training with my Clubbells.

My grip strength has improved greatly because of the Clubbells and by paying special attention to those exercises solely dedicated to grip strength. This is one area of physical development that I will make sure doesn't lag behind again.

Here is a Grip exercise from Mobilized Strength!

Hammer Grip Wrist Circle!

Take your lightest Clubbell at Full Choke!

Hold it like you would a hammer( Hammer Grip)

Draw a circle with it allowing the grip to open a little more each time to widen the circle!

Only do a few of the these especially if you have to use a Clubbell over ten pounds.
Here are a few more Grip Exercises I have put on another post!

I learned recently just how much consistent Clubbell training has developed my grip strength. In years past, I would once in a while try one arm chins. I was never even close, and even a one arm hang was hard for more than a few seconds. During this time, I always did chinups in my training.

Recently, I tried again. My grip felt rock solid, and I was able to do one holding only my bicep with the free hand for assistance. Not quite all the way to a true one arm chin yet, but WAY closer. I do some gymnastic exercises in my training (front levers, muscle ups ,etc) but almost never chin ups. I'm sure that the new found grip strength from the Clubbells is the primary reason that I was able to do this.
