I am new to this but can you gain overall size(im not talking bodybuilding proportions)or are they just for strengthening allround and cardio.If you do gain then what size clubbells would a average size person need

The Clubbell can be used for gaining mass, losing fat, building cardio and muscular endurance, increasing and strengthening mobility, agility and dynamic flexibility, and a host of other aspects (such as activity-specific strength training - SPP). Muscle size from Clubbells - you bet! Or, as I like to say to my clients in the UK, FB -Functional Buff!
During the process of developing real-world 3-D attributes with the Clubbell, you'll shapeshift, adding muscle that has a reason to be there, other than to fill your shirt sleeves -every pound you pack on will be fully functional and ready for anything. The loss of bodyfat will come in unison to the "FB".
Rather than focus on muscular growth, My advice would be to focus on skill, strength, & conditioning development through use of the Clubbell. The muscle will come.
Having tried it all from my early twenties Bodybuilding fixation, I can honestly say that my whole body has never reached such a level of lean muscularity, combined with superior strength & conditioning as I have to this day with Circular strength Training.
You've only got to look at the continuous transformation of Coach Sonnon!

Go with a 15 or 20 lber. If it's a little too heavy you can still use it two handed until you get strong enough to use it one handed!
Growth is pretty much an unavoidable side effect of clubbell training, granted of course your nutrition is in check!!
