I'm new to Clubbells and just finshed reading Circular Strength. I'm 6'3"/230 right now (if that matters). Ideally I'd like to be 210 with the muscle mass I currently carry.
This is what I started doing:
Warmup...1 mi. on an elliptical machine.
Combo...
Clean to Order to
Forward Leverage Press to
Arm Cast to
Crucifix back to
Clean to Order
...this is 1 rep.
I superset sets of the above (going to "just before" grip failure) with high-rep, bodyweight, slow, wide squats.
After 20min (approx.), I do ab work using primarily a roller.
Thats it.
Right now, I'm finding my grip strength to be the limiting factor in the number of reps I can do in a combo set...I expected that. I've always felt my grip strength was not in proportion to my "non-functional" strength with traditional exercises.
Please give me your thoughts.
