Dear tribe,

I'm going to be meeting with RMAX next month and I'd like to sit down with your ideas and discuss them with everyone. How would you like to see the forum updated to be more accessible, usable, and beneficial? RMAX is working to enhance quite a few new changes upcoming, so thanks for your feedback.

A search tool keyed on specific words or phrases to pull up threads and replies would be very cool, though possibly a nightmare to implement. It would save me a TON of time combing back through the archives.

A similar member search tool to locate someone to PM them would be great too, especially for contacting those people that rarely post.

A direct link to www.CircularStrengthMag.com and www.Clubbell.tv from the forum page would be cool, as I often come straight to the forums, and have to open a new window or leave the forums to go to these other sites.

I'd also like to see some way for members to review products / services / etc. and have those reviews made permanently available for review and comparison. Right now it comes up as the occasional thread, or part of a thread, but it's lost (figuratively) once the thread dies. A forum for collected product reviews would be a nice addition!

There was also some talk of a glossary of terms being added a while back. I remember suggesting it, and others did as well. Is this also being considered? It would be really cool to have a quick reference to specific terminology handy to help us understand one another.

That's all for now!

Morning Scott,

Two ideas come quickly to mind.

Quite a few months back, the suggestion was made about a glossary being created - was there enough interest to justify someone on staff to sit down and create one. (Upon posting this one, I see Jason beat me to this one by 4 minutes.)

You often mention particular texts in your material - perhaps a thread where people could mention a book and then present their insights gained from particular passages, page numbers etc - other people might then "put in their two bob's worth" and/or suggest similar or alternate views/facts or other books that are similar.

Cheers
Randell :D

How about an open article thread where we can post articles of our own!

Maybe something that could also allow us to post pictures!

Please post your articles here, Mike. Photos may be included by linking to them. We cannot provide unlimited storage space for people to upload photos.

Gang, looks like we're acting upon your suggestions a little sooner than next month. 8)

I think it would be nice if the forum had open read-only access, but users had to register to post.

Vic,

Out of curiosity, why would that be beneficial if there's one section available for non registered guests to post?

Vic,

Out of curiosity, why would that be beneficial if there's one section available for non registered guests to post?

There's such a wealth of information on the registered side and so few posts on the non-registered side. It would be great to be able to reference that wealth of information from my FAQ sites.

As it stands, if I tried to link to a particular thread that I thought would be informative, someone would be redirected to the registration page instead of the target thread. Currently the Clubbell questions I have on my sites are answered by posts on the Dragondoor board.

The answers are valid, and support the use of Clubbell training, but the user is left at the DD forum instead of here once their question is answered.

I'm sure you'd much rather prefer that they end up on an RMAX site. :D

Just a thought.

Vic,

It looks like RMAX responded to this suggestion as well.

This may be disregarded since it doesn't apply to the forum directly, but I'll suggest it anyway.

How about a version of CST Magazine that is printable? I was on my way to work the other day and really wanted to continue reading the latest issue but had no internet access outside the home. It could even be all text, just so long as you could print out the whole thing with one click.

It's not a groundbreaking idea, but it's really the only thing that's ever bugged me around here(I guess I want to spend less time in front of this screen). Thanks for reading!
