View Full Version : RMAX dvds vs. Sambo for MMA dvds
Quick question:
I know a few months back, a DVD series was released with Coaches Sonnon and Hurst called Sambo for MMA. How does this compare to the RMAX productions on both the saddle and sambo leg attacks? I come from a brazilian jiu jitsu background, but have a definite attraction to the leglock/kneebar game. I'm just trying to figure out which of these is the most suitable starting point.
thanks for any advice!

Timmyle,
The Mastering the Saddle DVD Series focuses on the positional development of the lower-half game.
The Sambo for MMA DVD Series concentrates on the submission variations from the positional dominance (lower-half.)
There is a lot of overlap obviously. You can start with either.

hello,
tnl1, have only seen "mastering the saddle" and not "mma uncaged". mastering the saddle is very very good. there is a ton of good info on WHY leglocks work, as well as how and when. just watching it once made the leglock game easier/better.
highly recommended.
thanks
many thanks, gents. I appreciate the input and clarifications.
I think I will follow the old adage of "position before submission" and start with the saddle series.
