View Full Version : Just recieved the mod1

Hi guys, I just recieved scrappers mod1 today it looks awesome.

I spoke to him yesterday and he advised me to quit the weights for a few weeks when I start using the mod1.

That will have to wait for just over a month while I study for exams, but after that it's on!!

So I think doing the workout#1 on disc 3 and also doing the warrior wellness, will get me into good muaythai shape when my knee's stop playing up.

I'll be also checking out Scott's article about the "big four" he talks about a couple threads down, and that might prompt me to save up and buy the maximology series.

So any pointers from you guys about adjusting my training with these new workouts i'll be doing soon?

The Mod. 1 is pretty much all about increasing your GPP and many people who receive the Mod. 1 find that their GPP is not quite up to snuff, especially when taken in light of MMA and the upcoming Olympic Clubbell Sport competition. Too often we are enamored with routines or movements that look "cool" but we lack the general level of conditioning that the elite practitioner has developed to make those moves look so effortless.

Of course, this will all depend on your current level of conditioning but I recommend that people usually back off any in their training that is considered "high intensity" for a few weeks. If you are already using Scott's Body Flow, Maximology, or Warrior Wellness, continue to do so in an Active Recovery capacity. This will help dissipate the soreness you will almost undoubtedly experience from the workouts in the Mod. 1.

As your level of conditioning rises, you'll find that you are less sore and that your level of movement sophistication will deepen as your body becomes stronger through different ranges of movement.

Over time, you'll be able to add Clubbells to the Mod. 1 routines and then....well...we'll just see what happens then. :twisted:
