The meet was a big success. Lots of posts on DD so I'll only talk about what's relavant here. I was whining to Coach Sonnon about being bored with training and wanting to get into the CBs about a month ago. He urged me to read the Performance Pyramid Article and get down to work. I read that thing a few times over the last month and got a lot of support here. Suffice to say it worked - big time. Set personal records in both events, won the master's division, and second overall in the 24kg KB division.
Lessons
1) focus on a goal
2) get over "boredom" by going deeper into, not around your goal
3) pre-create the performance
4) breathe
Will be competing in Nationals in May. Will be getting married Oct. 18 so I will spend the next few weeks experimenting with ideas for a program which will increase these #s while starting to prepare for the eventual east coast OCS. Will start a new training log post honey moon.
