I'm wondering if there is anything wrong with doing ankle rotations like this:
Very much like the exercise of standing on the edge of a step and moving up and down for the calves.
The difference is I would be rotating up and down around and around. Could even do figure eights, half circles, etc.
I do know this doesn't seem to be a joint mobility since there is weight on the ankles. But the same is true for the walking on the edges of the feet.
I have done this once. Just truly wondering if I'm looking at trouble. I haven't seen this anywhere?
Yes I am working on rather advanced foot work. I run barefoot. I even walk about 400 yards on my toes before running.

Ron,
I use that closed chain format in my practice.
Remember to stay incremental :)

I also do closed chain ankle mobility regularly. When in doubt, go a little slower and smoother.
