Coach Sonnon in one of his DVD's mentioned the lower back. There is a hard spot there.
Well... with me. I got hit there with a board when I was a boy. Hit the bone on the spine. My body's reaction was to build up a plenty good shield over it. Large enough that doctors would ask me what it was. Did it hurt. Etc.... Has not hurt. I am sure what my body built up would take a bunch of punishment and I wouldn't get hurt there.
This shield was solid at one point. Large. Now it moves around. Not directly connected to the spine. But over it. It must be about a third the size it once was. About the size of a golf ball now. Also admittedly I am ligher weight too.
Well... since doing my intu flow, Plows, wind releasing pose, flow fit and some prasara stances. It does seem to be getting smaller. This part of my body around my spine is probably the biggest thing holding me back in my CST. Keeping me rather remedial. I realize spinal mobility comes slowly. Have never even tried to be this mobile before.
To be honest. Also looseness of upper legs is not good yet. Hips themselves are great (refer to my idiot dance post). When I do plows; It was a definite knot to roll over. Now it's rather smooth rolling over. Almost don't notice it when doing plows. Now I kinda thinking my progress is really really slow. Don't know? Is there anything special or more I can do? Just keep working on spinal mobility and knowing it comes slowly.
