Just a quick roll call. If you're in the Brisbane area and are a qualified CST Coach or Instructor, or looking for a qualified CST Instructor or Coach, please drop a post in this thread. I'd like to see who's out there; I'm based in Perth at the moment but I'd like to see who's around from the last seminar.

I'm definitely looking for someone able to coach. I have been bumbling along myself & could use some 1-on-1 guidance.

Cheers

Wayne,

I can sympathise with that! I spent a good few years running blindly through the forums and material, trying to gain an understanding of it all...there's just so much! It wasn't until I went to a certification that it really started to gel together.

Sadly, it doesn't look like there is anyone in the Brisbane area on the forums...but that shouldn't be too much of a deterrence. What are your areas of interest in RMAX? What have you been focussing on in your training?

Ben

I've been mainly focussing on exercises to assist regaining strength & stability in my shoulders, particularly the right.

My shoulders had a bad habit of sub-laxating when rotated up & rearwards, as a result of some incidents at Army & work (police officer). I've had quite a bit of success with this & although I have a way to go, my shoulders are probably the most stable they've been for about 15 years.

I need to focus more on intu-flow & flowfit but haven't gotten organised enough yet.

I've got sets of 10's & 15's and a 25 & 35 at present & have a set of 20's coming feom Flowacademy. Time to use them though......hmmm.

The 35 is pretty much leaning against the back of the cupboard, as I am a while away from using it for much.....very heavy!!

I cheated with the resources....I got the work library to buy them!! Can't manage to get them to shell out for TacFit yet though.......dammit!!

Actually, if you or anyone else is in the area in the next few weeks, we're trying to organise a "mini-seminar" with Flowacademy to bring Donna up from Sydney & fly the CST flag a bit. It was originally aimed at police/military, but if anyone wants to PM me on here, I can see about providing some details. It will be a very reasonable fee & well worth the $50-100 for the day.

As for CST instructors around Brisbane, the only one I new about was Randall Waddell - any relative?? He seems to have dropped out of circulation, though.

As far as I know Randall and I aren't related, but yeah, he seems to have dropped out of circulation for some time. You've got more resources than I do! I thought when I went to the seminar I had a fair few but if you've got the whole library that really takes the cake.

The best general advice for immersing yourself in it is to pick one program and work that for a month. Do Intu-Flow everyday, and maybe start with just 3 basic clubbell exercises, and get good at those three, you can reassess your goals after a month.

That's how I started. For the first four weeks I did nothing but Intu-Flow and some very basic exercises with the 15's. the next 2 months I completed my first density cycle of Alternating Mills with the 15's. Then I went up to the 25's. Worked over 3 months towards a Trial By Fire, slowly building up. That was all interspersed with a month of FlowFit here, a month of Forward Pressure there. Recently I've done the BER Fat Loss programme. The progress is amazing.

If you're ever after advice with your technique the best thing you can do, shy of getting a coach or instructor, is to post some footage of yourself here on the forums and ask for advice.

As for the seminar in Brisbane, would love to come, I'm currently located in Perth, will be home in Queensland for the next two months but am working throughout that. But keep me posted, I may be able to squeeze it in.

Hey OBe, did the seminar in Brissie ever eventuate, or is Donna intending to return for another?
