Hi to all you Aussies.
I haven’t been on here for awhile, looks as though nobody else has either. . . . . . . where are you all?
I’ve been busy over on the BER forum, I’m becoming a bit of a forum junky. It certainly is a great way to track your progress and get some feed back. I’ve never quite got into it before as I had no direction in my training. Being a newbie, I was cocktailing everything. Couldn’t get enough, wanted to learn it all now!

Are any of you guys doing BBFFL or BER? I’ve been doing BBFFL for last 2 mths, it’s a great workout. I felt obliged at first because I was fortunate enough to win a copy :D from Adam and Ryan, but it has been fantastic. The 1st phase is a lot of fun, hard work, but fun. Very challenging both physically and mentally. 2nd phase is more like just hard work, but I’ve nearly finished it and getting ready for the real challenge of phase 3. Why don’t you come on over to have a squiz at our postings? Would be nice to have some familiar faces to talk to.

I can’t believe it’s been 13 mths since we went to CST in Sydney. Hope everyone is keeping up with their training.
I have been concentrating more on Intu-flow/ Ageless Mobility and Flowfit and Body flow training. I’ve only just started looking at the Clubbells recently. Was reinspired after our visit from Donna and Brad a few mths ago. That workshop was just what I needed to rekindle the CST spark. Thanks guys for coming to Adelaide.

I have been fortunate to meet another like minded friend, Ben, who loves CST as much as I do (probably more) We have also recently introduced his lovely lady to it. We try to get together when possible to practise in town. It has been a real treat to have someone to train with who knows what I’m talking about. . . . . . . . . . hopefully our little group will expand as time goes on.;)

I have recently been on a 5 day fundraising trek with 18 other ladies. Every morning a handful joined me to do Intu-flow, they loved it. They said “Nothing beats doing Intu-flow first thing in the morning in your PJ’s out in the outback of the Flinders Ranges”. I have to agree. Maybe I might have a few more converts?

Hi Jamie Louise

I was at the CST in Sydney last year. Have been concentrating on intu flow and prasara and some Clubbell® exercises from Ryan Murdocks DVD's. I bought BBFFL for my wife who only did it for a few weeks and quit. So i took up the challenge thinking this can't be so hard, and am currently on day 21 of phase 1, have to admit its been challenging to say the least. Have been meaning to do a training log on the BER forum so will get onto that today

Have introduced a few others to intu flow and Donna's CST mini workshops at Nathan's new training hall, but am still going alone mostly no other CST'ers on the Central Coast of NSW that i know of.

Will let you know how the BBFFL goes

Fantastic, it is a challenge but worth every bit of effort. Can't wait to read your training posts.
Sorry to hear your wife stopped, no reason to not take it up again though. Maybe for a New Year resolution . We girls need to show we have the stamina and drive to do it aswell. If she wants some encouragement or needs someone to talk her through the phases she can PM me for my mobile no. I know it would have been easier if I had someone to ring. There were definitely times I wanted to quit. The forum has been a great source of encouragement.

Glad to hear you are still keeping up with your training, it changes you on all levels. My clients love the routines I put together for them (CST B/W routines) and my constant technique cueing on the movements. I work in a Ladies Gym and I’m constantly cringing when I watch the other trainers. I think a lot of trainers are too scared to try anything to challenging or different with female clients. I just think about what I like and why and what works.
They think I’m a bit anal, but they have no idea about the big picture. They think it’s safer to stick to what’s familiar. Hopefully soon they will be familiar with what I’m doing………;).
I still have to use the gym equipment with my clients due to the training system we use, but I add in Intuflow and Prasara to keep it safe. “Give them what they want then slip in what they need” I think I’ve heard Coach Steer say this.
Luckily we are able to also do fat loss circuits, so of cause mine are all B/W cardio sessions. My ladies love it and I see others watching all the time. I do my workout at the gym aswell so they can see that I put myself through it. “You can’t take someone to where you haven’t been yourself” (Coach Sonnon)
I have just started training one of the other trainers in B/W cardio sessions; I see her using some of the exercise with her clients. It’s all good……….

Are any other Aussie PT’s incorporating CST in their gym’s? Would love to here what you are doing.

Ah well I am still around though not on the forums as much as I used to. I have been studying at uni so have been keeping CST mainly to myself and a few personal friends who have shown some interest.

G'day Jayelle and Aussies , i'm not on the forum much but i started CST a year and a bit ago , whilst at first it can be infomation overload i have consiously tried to take one step at a time , i have tried it all to beat chronic injuries and i believe this system is the greatest out there and i'm loving it.
Have just started some Prasara poses(tree pose) and think it is just unreal , can't wait for clubbell work but thats a little while down the track.
Its a great system and if the small cst community here all work togeather we could start something big , I only know Brad from the flow academy and Coach Eddy but the they have both been wonderful in helping me achieve my goal of being pain free , and then teaching others become pain free through CST , i know i will continue to support it and look foward to meeting more CST dudes in Sydney and Aus.

Welcome Trent to the world of CST. Sounds like you have been apart of CST as long as myself. I stumbled over it through a link and have never looked back.
You are in the best hands with Coach Eddie :D, glad you have had great results.
Together with Donna and Brad we are already making something big start to happen. We just need to be patient and keep the passion going out there. I’m doing my best over here in Sth Aust to get it seen through my clients and outside training. Once we can get certified it will be easier ;).

Nice to hear from you Ben, how is Perth? You must feel even more out of the loop than me. Are you coming through Adelaide at all on your travels to Qld over Xmas? Or are you flying? It would be great to train with you, with skill and your passion for CST. . . . . . . . . . .
If anyone comes over to Adelaide I would love to catch up and maybe do some training.

Hi Jamie-louise and Donna
Sorry that i missed your emails, have been out of the loop for a while, xmas visitors and a bung elbow(that i have spent years training for!)which came to a head just after last contact. Hence all the BBFFL came unstuck as i can't load my elbow at all. Got pretty annoyed with myself should have compensated more for my work activities during the year, but have stuck with intuflow and prasara(more be breathed actually) and anything that doesn't load the broken wing.
Oh yes, in the group photo at sydney cst I'm 6th from the left at the back. I'll get a photo up soon
Donna - would love to hear more of whats in store for CST down under this year

 Thats bad luck about your elbow Guy. Keep up the good recovery workouts. You are at the other end to me with my Knee recovery. Alot of the leg excercises in BBFL could still be done. . . . . I modified my workouts after operation to just upperbody. Couldn't get the full intensity but it kept me mobile. I just followed the same protocols. 'Have a look at my postings'.

Hind sight is a great thing. Now we know better we must keep up the practice.

G'day Jayelle, I'm a boxing trainer/mountain bike coach based in Brisbane, working with a group of mixed athletes (surf/golf/bike/snow). I took Ben up on his offer of hooking up for training during his road trip from central Qld to Perth for Uni, but haven't buzzed down to Sydney for workshops- bought several books (Scott and Brandon).

Cheers,

Hi ya Hopey,
What part of CST are you doing with your athletes? There is so much benefit for all the different training styles.
What did you do with Ben? I unfortunately didn't get a visit down here. Maybe next time (hint hint). He is a great guy isn't he. I met him at CST Sydney '08.
I do Intu flow with all PT clients and as a warmup to most of my classes. We end with some yoga flows, more from BFFL and some I have put together myself. I love using BW exercises for the training. Sometimes flowfit, usually a circuit of different CST style exercises. There is so much available with BER & BFFL and for free through emails and blogs.

Hello hello,

Hopey and I worked mainly on the basics of Clubbells, the 7 key components of structure and some basic and combination routines, essentially how to build up to a mill, a swipe and a hammer swing. we also went through the obligatory Intu-Flow® and touched on prasara/body-flow as they were referenced in his flow-boxing manual but not described.

He has an awesome set-up right in his own gym.

Sadly, my studies have left me little time for coaching, but when I finish I will be looking to update my qualifications when I have more moolah under my belt. Presently I am focusing on rehabing my back...no accident, just a few issues I need to sort out...and then my interests are steerimg me towards TacFit styled programs which I am having fantastic results with.

I encourage all the Oz athletes to jump on here and share what you are doing with CST, especially if you are in the Perth/Fremantle area in WA.

Good to hear that you're keeping busy Ben- did you get time for swimming and surf over summer? I've finished the gym extensionsand we have doubled our area now- check it out when you're next in Brisvegas.

JL we mix in all the fun and challenging stuff from joint mobility, kbells, clubs, yoga. Keeps it fresh.

Hopey,

I spent most of Summer lifeguarding back in Yeppoon in Central Queensland keeping an eye out for jellyfish, sharks and crocodiles, so plenty of swimming and surfing. Now its Autumn in Perth and its started raining...which also means Surf!

Cool, good to hear. I took 2 weeks off before Christmas, wave skiing at Rainbow Beach, but have mainly been on the bike since.
