i'm about 3 wks into starting with the body flow videos and upon viewing the video again noticed i may have been doing the "shin box" wrong. coach sonnon says that you weight should be even and you pelvis bone shouldn't be leaning towards one side? i'm pretty comfortable now in the "shin box" position but my pelvis is definitely leaning towards one side and doesn't feel like i could level it even if i tryed. any advice would be appreciated.

Don't worry about perfection in Body-Flow, allow your shinbox to evolve over time.

We all have our individual body types, injuries, weaknesses and strengths. The great thing about Body-Flow is that you don't have to make it perfect based upon somebody elses form, just slowly perfect your form, without pain, without strain.

As has been mentioned in other threads, you can watch Coach Sonnon's form evolve over time in Zdorovye through Grappler's Toolbox, to the fluid perfection that you see in Body-Flow and Maximology.

It's a great gift to be truly your own master, not many other systems let you do that.

Burn with Fire,
Garth

thanks for the input Garth, just to clarify though, as long as i'm comfortable in the position i should continue as i have been and work towards mastering my own particular body type?

Steve,

just to clarify though, as long as i'm comfortable in the position i should continue as i have been and work towards mastering my own particular body type?
The short answer is yes.
You will find that your technique with the exercises will improve when you keep doing them you will then one day just happen to notice that you are doing them well.

Try this exercise,
- From the Shin Box
Shinbox Switch then do a slow spinal twist in both directions
Then Shinbox Switch again and do spinal twists again.

This exercise will help you feel your balance in Shinbox.

Then move on to the Standing Shinroll from Body-Flow.

Talk to you soon,

Thanks for the spinal twist variation Coach Chomycia, I'm going to explore that for sure.

I'm facing a similar challenge. Would contract relax stretching be useful. Are the any reasons why it would be counter productive.

Aaron,

I'm only vaguely familiar with the method,
so I can not make a recommendation either way.
You will progress with the exercises as they are just keep noticing your continued improvement no matter how small.
You can't get reach World Records without first noticing your Personal ones.

Talk to you soon!
