As I begin to explore the elementary levels of Flow Fit II, I've immediately identified a core skill to be developed: the shin-squat.

I do not yet have a comfortable 'seat'in the shin squat: and by that I mean that I do not have both 'sit bones' on the ground in either shin squat. I have no particular pain or discomfort, just not the joint freedom to get both sit bones on the ground.

With all the fun things you can do in Flow Fit II, who knew the hardest part would be sitting down? :)

Shinbox variations and sophistications are primary IMHO.
shinbox spirals
ascending shin rolls
descending shin rolls
ascending shinbox spirals to ipsalatral bridge
double shin rolls

Once you can do these well the rest will come much easier

What resource has the best info on those shinbox variations?

Grapplers Toolbox Reborn has most of those.

It's been mentioned before that the shinbox is important but I've never seen it explained why. Can someone fill me in?

Thanks.

Shinbox is a structure to integrate the key component of hip recruitment in many movements.
