I was thinking of getting that. What are your thoughts on that program and did you get Adam's "Shapeshifter" as well?

I am still trying to access the shapeshifter site, Adam sent me the link however I still cannot access it eventhough I am logged in,
Regarding the program, I read through it quickly and am going to go over it more in detail tonight. Off hand it looks pretty good, I like the structure of it, where you are told what to do everyday and its for 25 days so you have the visible goal.
Have to get a few items like protein powder and BCAA's so not expensive to start off.
Will keep you updated

I haven't checked this one out yet, but the Shapeshifter teaser looks like fun, and Marion's past stuff has been very well-researched and useful.
If your goal is to blast off some fat in a few weeks, I'd say it's worth a try.

Michael, what do you think so far of Joel's program? We know Shapeshifter will be great and the workouts will be an important piece of the fat loss. But I'm curious what is so new and different about the Xtreme Fat Loss Program. I'd appreciate any feedback since I'm mostly vegan and am wondering if the diet program would apply or be adaptable for me?
Thanks!

Paul,
Yes the Shapeshifter is all you need and a book that Adam had on recommended list..Eat Stop Eat.
I can honestly tell you and anyone outhere Save your Money When it comes to Xtreme Diet, its not realistic and they want you to load up on Supplements Amino's ( they call Superfood..Geez)Protein Drinks, Eating allot of Protein...Working out 3 times per day (Humm No Kidding, working out 3 times per day, of course you will drop weight...$67 bucks for that? a rip off, STAY AWAY !!
I have had phenomenal Progress on Eat Stop Eat and it has truly opened my eyes..He backs his stuff up with science and shows you why you dont need that much protein..I watched all of his videos on Youtube and then bought his book..BEST MONEY SPENT IN a Long TIME !!! Everyone I recommend to his method has had great success...
So if you want to great progress...Do the Shapeshifter and buy Eat stop eat..you will do Great !!
If you bought Xtreme Diet by Joel marion, mark it up as experience as what not to buy...Hey Here's a Diet.. Eat allot of supplements and workout 6 times per day...I bet that one will work too...
Just telling it like it is

That said the diet is real and it works well however it is not something for long term nor it is easy to stick to. It screwed with my energy levels and my blood sugar levels. I just had no time to work out that much and eat that less of food and still have energy for my job. My job suffered so I quit. When I did a mostly protein diet it worked well and I lost 30lbs in a month or so. I had high energy levels and my body felt but it did not last long. The weight loss came to a stop and I had to intergerate some carbs for continued loss.
Joels diet reminded me of the Anabolic Diet in a way.

Hi Badkarma,
Yes, I felt the same way too !! and that many workouts in a day is UNREALISTIC, anyone can come up with that.
His whole premise on Restoring your leptin levels with a cheat day and that being the cause of weight problems is B.S....read the Book Mastering Leptin, I did after I bought the xtreme diet and soon realized his Xtreme diet was an xtreme waste of money.
As a matter of fact Brad Pilon from eat stop eat even discusses Leptin levels and why no one truly knows why it works or how to make it work to lose weight.
Anabolic diet, will check it out....

Hey Badkarma
go to You Tube and search for Brad Pilon. watch his videos on Protein, Growth Hormone, Fasting and exercise..very fascinating stuff and I have tried it and it works !! seriously, no gimmicks no supplements..only a cheap $13 creatine did I buy. He does not even refer you to any supplement brand..just tells it like it is...I respect that allot.
Coach Adam had a link on his shapeshifter program to

I know about his 24hr fast 2 times a week but what does the diet part look like? Is it restrictive? I would not mind a movable fast day so i could schedule it around my work.

Texas Heat and BadKarma (cool names),
Thanks for reviving this discussion. I had a strong sense of hesitation when this Xtreme Diet was first promoted. Although i do have a lot of good faith in RMAX and what any of the coaches recommend, this program threw up red flags in my mind immediately. I did write some questions to Joel and he very graciously answered. I understand he could not give away the program to me just because I asked him some details. But, as a vegetarian, I always have to approach these diet programs cautiously.
I do not own EatStopEat but my impression is that Brad's program is not a diet at all. His 2 components seem to be intermittent fasting and weight training. I subscribe to his blog and he mostly avoids and even mocks diet ideas. His blog writings often satirize diet ideas. He seems to take a very relaxed and simple approach to food.

Are you referring to EatStopEat or Xtreme Diet now? From the prior discussion, I assume you mean EatStopEat. If so, would you say it is doable even for vegetarians or vegans?
