Coach,

Interesting stuff. The best part is "In two months, he said, his cholesterol rose from a normal 146 to an unhealthy 230" yet he stayed on the plan for 2 years. Go figure. Gross negligence. Also, we don't know if he was consuming tons of lunch meats, trans fatty acids, refined atkins crap. The sad thing about this is that all of the low carb world (including the ever-so-healthy paleo regimen) will be hurt by this. This whole thing is going to end up causing a person void of nutritional knowledge to pass up lean meats, fruits, veggies, and nuts for the food pyramid.

Coach,

Once again, and I am not trying to sound offensive  , this is another example of what I have coined as the "Victimology" running rampant in society. Unfortunately, folks today find ways to avoid personal responsibility. Smokers blame the tobacco companies, alcoholics blame the bars and manufactures, and parents of overweight kids blame the fast food establishment, and so on. This type of issue gives me a real "bur under my saddle".

The best to you and everyone else!
