Hi everyone,

I'm new to clubbell training. Just watched the video last night. Once you combine the basic movements it looks like a sword fighting routine. I am impressed and anxious to start. I'm sure I'll have questions later.

I am an artist living and working in San Diego north county area. My interests are physical fitness and shooting. Grip strength is important to accurate shooting.

I am in good physical condition, what weight to begin with?

Thanks in advance.

Hello Rick:

Welcome to the CST Forum. We are always glad to have new folks like yourself show up here. Please feel free to ask us plenty of questions on how to get squared away with Clubs properly. Just be sure to ask those questions in the proper forum area please.

To address your question on Clubbells, I would say get a ten lb'r unless you are really strong. It's good to take your time and build up to the heavier ones, and with the ten, if you choke up, it's a snap to use. End of the handle is the goal and it will come in short order with regular training.

Nothing hits the hands and wrists like a CB, I would think very slow and concentrated circles in all directions, along with lots of Swipes and Armpit casts and shoulder casts would really firm up the shooting game.

Welcome and good luck.

Yours.
