Hello my RMAX Family. It's been a while, I know. Life and the interesting shifts of the day have provided me with ample lessons that have taken much of my time and attention. I've missed you all very much.

I wanted to share and ask for some insights. For the last 2 months I've had a strange physical manifestation. My left shoulder has for many years been tender and tight. Upright rows and side lateral raises gave me pause but thru Intuflow and CST they improved over time. OF the last year my training has been lax. Sad but true. One day I was startled by a stray dog. I jumped so hard a slight pop came from my shoulder. From then on I wasn't able to raise the arm to the side. I can't hold my arm in 90 degree angle in front of me while pronating or supranating the arm. And reaching for my wallet is excruciating. Scale of 1-10 always a 9. At night it throbs. Feels like ice glass inside the joint. All arouind the glenoid labrum. And my suprapinatis has shut down! Pain from mid thoracic down to intercoastals has pain. I went to the doc, has xrays. Nothing. Hence the frozen shoulder diagnosis. MRI is out. claustraphobic and I wouldn't go for surgery anyways. Most movements in IntuFlow aren't possible. Can do shoulder rolls. Not able to raise arm above my head.

I am open to any insights.

thank you everyone. I will be more consistent from now on.

peace,
Quentin

Quentin,
For my shoulder I did both the MRI(actually MRA, they injected a die in the capsule to see what and where it leaked). That procedure didn't reveal the real problem. Then went to a doctor of physical medicine that did an ultra sound. That showed more detail than the MRA. I then did some injection work in the labrum and supra spinatus. That made it much worse and took 6 months to recover from. Finally I had a cortisone injection in the bursa. I had significant relief and was able to start physical therapy. It is still an ongoing process to maintain the action of the supra spinatus.

My suggestion is to get an ultra sound diagnosis and go from there.
Hope that helps :)
