View Full Version : WarriorSleep in TFW
Hey
I got TacFit Warrior yesterday, and along with it came the WarriorSleep Program. I tried it, and found it very relaxing and comfortable. I've seen Steven Barnes claim somewhere that it actually does induce deeper sleep, is there any scientific evidence for this? Also I'm wondering what kind of brainwave activity it promotes?
I'm not skeptic, I found it very pleasureabel, I'm just curious ;)

Hi, OJF!
The "Warrior Sleep" program is based on an exercise called the "Yoga Nidra" which, by yogic tradition, is considered far more restful than ordinary sleep. While I'm unaware of specific scientific tests, what we DO know is that human sleep varies between different levels, and that one of the most restful is deep dream sleep. Tests HAVE been made on the restful influence of various hypnotic states, and the conclusion seems to be that if the state tends to remain longer in deep "Delta" sleep, the body is discharging fatigue most efficiently. This gives the Warrior Sleep program two routes to improving your rest:
1) Producing a deep, restful state analogous to "Delta" sleep where your mind is discharging images and emotions effectively.
2) Literally "training" your unconscious mind to deepen its resting state. This is implied by reports (and personal experience of) dreams becoming more vivid and intense after repeated use of Warrior Sleep style exercises, as well as the very common experience of needing less sleep. In combination, I feel it is reasonable to conclude that several thousand years of yogis are right, and that scientific results relating to very similar exercises and mental states can usefully be applied to this new "Warrior Sleep" program.
Hope that helps!

Steve.....what happens if I fall asleep so fast that I do not hear any of it? I fall asleep just about instantly when laying down.
Thanks for great answer, Steve ;)

Badkarma--
Great! You can play the Warrior Sleep program to improve visualization, or you can just thank your lucky stars you're one of the people who don't need it at all!
