For martial arts/combat sports:

Matt Thornton's first "Functional Jeet Kune Do" video series is a great set of videos on the basic techniques and principles of one-on-one unarmed fighting. You can order it from www.straightblastgym.com.

Scott's Immovable Object Unstoppable Force (http://www.rmax.tv/iouf.html) video set blew me away and is a fantastic resource for throwing techniques and principles!

Nathan Leverton http://www.totalgrappling.com/
and Stephan Kesting http://www.grapplearts.com

Plus IOUF and Grapplers Toolbox / Bodyflow.

The phrase "expand you training vision" from IOUF completely changed how I look at material and real life instruction. I see the principles now rather than techniques and I'm much better for it. Not skilled yet, but I'm getting there faster thanks to that material.

If you already know a little about boxing, Rodney King's videos by Straight Blast Gym are outstanding.

Second a vote for the other SBG videos.

Also Tony Cecchine's Lost Art of Hooking is pretty impressive if you have a wrestling base.

Morio Higaonna - Power Training: highly infomativ about authentic Karate and for me the most inspirering tape if I'm frustated in training (www.iogkf.com)

Scott Sonnon - Shock Ability: This set of tapes is must-seen for martial arts (www.rmax.tv)

- Grapplers toolbox: in my opinion still the best tapes of RMax, not at least cause of the "pioneer" mind. Body-Flow will do,too  (www.rmax.tv)

Mario Sperry - Vale Tudo III: A fine source for "tricks", exellent to combine with AK (www.groundfighter.com)

Marcelo Garcia: For the same reason as Sperry, but his's more playful then Sperry (www.groundfighter.com)

I love Stephan Kestings tapes. I have his kneebar dvd and butterfly guard/x guard dvd and I love them. I plan on getting his Omaplata DVD next. www.grapplearts.com

You're right, the kneebar DVD is great! Really thorough but at the same time the instruction is easy to follow. Kesting's Yoga for Martial Arts DVD is also very good - solid information on basic to intermediate yoga.

Apart from the obvious (everything from RMAX!), I would suggest the work of Carl Cestari for those interested in Combatives (he teaches the Fairbairn and the O'Neill systems) and bareknuckle boxing.

I'll second Ryan (Bujinmorgan) on the Cestari tapes. Of course I might be prejudiced since I've trained with Carl Personally, and I'm also on both the Fairbairn and O'Neill seminar tapes
