Hi,

In the summer i started the tacfit commando program and i was very motivated to work out every day while doing biomechanical exercises before the workout.
But a week ago i went back to school (this is my final year in high school) just by the time i finished the first mission of tacfit commando and my next mission is from the tacfit warrior system. but the problem is that every day after i come back from school and do my homeworks, i find myself somewhat tired to do the workout and i end up not doing it. even when i have a lot of work to do, i still can find time to do it but i feel tired and i don't do the workout. and the thing is that later in the evening (when it's 'too late' to work out) i get sometimes this energetic feeling of wanting to exercise!

can you please help me with this issue? i'm in no way suggesting that training is more important than my studies, i just want to find a way to get the best of both worlds :)

And thanks,
Chris

If I wait until the last part of the day to exercise, I usually don't get to it because I don't have the energy and - mostly - my mindset is not optimal.

How about thinking 'outside the box' a bit?

Set your alarm earlier.

I am working on a pretty unique project and I wake up about 3:00 am give or take. It's nice because I am the only one around, the rest of the world is asleep and it is ideal for focus.

A day is just twice around the clock, no matter where on the clock you start.

I find that exercising first thing in the day gives me more energy throughout the day, the functional day is extended and, of course, I think and feel much better.

One option is you could do your training right after you come home or shortly after. This has a benefit of you to be more sensitive in regulating your intensity based on your fatigue level from your pre-workout activities.

Or "just do it" after your homework no matter how tired you are. Just going through the warm up would wake up your nervous system.

Two other strategies, which I've used when pressed for time;

Break up the work. You'd be surprised at how much of a normal session of Intu-Flow you can get done in a restroom stall. Do that during the school day.
Then as herman suggests, do your main work as soon as you get home.

Prioritize. If positively, absolutely slammed for time, just do the main work (gasp!!!). It's less than 30 minutes, and you're done. Not great over the long term, but good in a pinch.

ok, thanks for the advice guys. i think i will train right after i come home if i don't have a lot of work. and i was thinking about doing some of the tacfit commando or warrior stuff in the morning (the joint mobility stuff) so i can at least benefit from something. and when i don't have a lot of time, i just do pushups to failure, as many sets as possible.

That's fine, you can always do the joint mobility stuff in the morning. Just find the 30 minutes to do the main work when you get home from school or need a break from homework. It's just 30 freakin' minutes. I bet you spend that much time web-surfing or checking Facebook.

Today at school we had two hours of sport (every Tuesday) and this year we get to choose a sport each trimester. I chose Kung Fu first (we are just 6 who chose Kung Fu, as opposed to other sports that a lot of people chose) and the training was very intense. I have learned Kung Fu before but we were never trained like that. I really enjoyed this and I also got benefit out of it; I can imagine how much I will change in the next three months :) . When I got home I also did a few biomechanical exercises.
