Thanks Coach Sonnon and Dr. Kathleen for helping us set up this forum.
I am excited about the synergy of Circular Strength Training along with good nutrition per Kathleen DesMaison's programs.

In case you never saw what amazed me about the synergy of Scott and Kathleen's programs:

Kathleen: how you eat defines how you feel
Scott: how you move defines how you feel

Kathleen: baby steps and getting better and better
Scott: baby steps and incremental progression

Kathleen: healing happens when you connect to community
Scott: we are alone in this together, in our tribe

Kathleen: I am a warrior for my tribe
Scott: I am passionate about circular strength training for our tribe

Kathleen: your birthright is already there, just obscured by
whites/sugars
Scott: your birthright is already there, just obscured by
tension/learned stiffness

Kathleen: nothing is lost, you can reframe
Scott: nothing is lost, you can reset your Central Nervous System

--------------------------

And here's my off-the-cuff report after 6 months with CST:

The fun factor and variety are out of this world. My honeymoon is not over even after 6 months.

I did start with the 5# clubs. I asked for a beginner program on their forum and got instruction on how to start safely.

It is amazing looking back. The coaches gave the minutest level of detail…
I started with 5# at full choke and now can do 10# no choke (heaviest) with some exercises.

I feel like I totally got my metabolic furnace going again. I can lose 6 pounds a month with ease and a feeling of control.

As for strength development, it is increasing all over. I completely healed my hinky left shoulder with the clubs and mobility.

The lower body is stronger and flexible. As I mentioned, I can do rock bottom squats (multiple) with weights and it is amazing to read in my own logs that my knees started out stiff. I had honestly forgotten.

My core is so much better from the unique tightening you have to do to swing the clubs and change direction under load.

My balance is much better. I can do the Four Corner Balance Drillon each foot for 20 seconds through each of 5 positions My grip even went through the roof and bagpipe playing (of all things!) is crisper and masterful sounding. I had teachers tell me to work on grip but couldn't find anything do-able…

Best of all, I feel like and am carrying myself like the athlete I am becoming. It is mahvelous dahling...

Did you ever see Chariots of Fire where the one guy runs from having to prove himself and the other guy runs out of joy because it pleases the God who made him so fast?

Well these Circular Strength Training guys are all about physical culture for the joy in it.

I'm glad the road is long though, I don't know what I'd do if I ever got to the end of it!

Congrats on your progress Connie! I just wanted to ping in and personally thank you for the information that you posted in response to my having experiencing blood sugar issuses. The resources you posted, especially Potatoes not Prozac which has been sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo helpful in helping me understand what the hell has been going on with me since I can remeber. Keep up the great work!

This is perfect. I'm really excited about this concept. I'd been contemplating on going back to the principles of PNP as I progress through the CST material and now the trail is being cleared. One question though... there was a great post about the CST Wellness steps that disappeared. Is this slated to be reposted?

What did you do differently, if I may ask? Always curious!

Sean it is going to be so fun learning how PnP works for dedicated athletes.

While we are evolving this section... the CST Wellness steps are also linked from Dr. Kathleen's most recent newsletter:

I will definitely stay tuned, Coach, thanks.

And thanks for the link Connie. I still actually get the Newsletter I just didn't see the link the first time I read it.

I've started back on track with PNP ... just picked up a journal yesterday for both food + CST. Not sure if you remember me from the lists, I was a liason for a bit ... did the program to the letter for over two years --- almost moved into KD's old ranch come to think of it. :D Eventually I fell off the wagon though. But my cells remember --- that two years was not wasted and I'm finding it very easy to click back into the old healthy groove of doing the food.

Strange. The last thing I expected from ordering BodyFlow and joining this CST forum was to get smacked in the face again with PNP/SARP. I just can't hide from KD, she's everywhere.
