My name is Peter Peterson (yes, that's really it--long story) and I too was given a nudge from Coach Sonnon to post my intro (I have been reading for a while but not offered any thoughts of my own), so here it is...
I have done a variety of martial arts--from Aikido to Wushu to BJJ--but mastered none of them. My focus now is on Tai Chi and Xing Yi, the former I have studied for about 10 years and the later for less than a year. I lifted weights in college in the three sets of ten mindset, but didn't get very far. My exercise tools of choice now are my kettle and clubbells. For a while my focus was on gaining strength, but now that I have made some progress in that direction, I am changing to strength-endurance and losing some of the body fat I've picked up since college. I am working on the Swipe and the Mill as they both seem like excellent tools to aid me in reaching my current goals, and they are FUN!
Thanks to all of you--most of all Coach Sonnon--for being so generous in your thoughts and ideas.
