Hi guys, in an effort to be polite and follow the forum guidelines I thought I would intro myself (I posted on the Welcome Mat and then realised it would be a good idea to say hi to my fellow Aussies).

Just saw the note asking new forum members to intro themselves. My name is Matt Jones, I live in Adelaide, South Australia. I stumbled across Scott Sonnon's ideas via the Ameross site (not sure if that is that still up).

I'm looking forward to learning more about CST concepts and think this site seems like a great place to intereact with people who share my passion for honest health and fitness advice.

As for my interests, I do BJJ and Wing Chun. I'm also into archery. I'm Happily married (just back at Christmas time) & my wife is also into fitness and martial arts.

I'm a bit reluctant to talk about my work as I don't want to turn this into an ad for my business (I run an exercise and massage therapy clinic). My main client base is athlete's but I love to work with anyone who wishes to get healthy, irrespective of fitness level or sporting prowess (I think everyone deserves great advice no matter what they're at).

Oh yeah, I also write for a couple of Australian sporting magazines on the topic of fitness, health and injury management.

Thanks for giving me the chance to join the forum.
Have a great day,
Matt

Evening Matt,

Welcome on board.

Just left a reply on the Tensegrity thread - hopefully you may see the value also and help highlight its advantages.

Don't forget you are not far via Virgin Blue/Qantas to come up to Brisbane for a visit for a weekend if you'd really like to get yourself off to a flying start with the Clubs, Bodyflow, Be Breathed, or perhaps explore some of Scott's other material.

One of our guys is also returning to do some short term locum work in a chiro clinic in Mt Gambier - you may even get a chance to catch up with him if you like.

Cheers

Thanks Randall, I am definately keen to learn more. I would love to come up to Brisy but I'm not liklely to be able to get any time away for quite some time. Hopefully I'll end up being able to give myself a working holiday and stop by to catch up. The BF, CB and BB all sound really good. I've been looking on the net to try and work out what vids/books would be the best options to get an insite into the Scott's system. I get the impression from some of his posts that the blanket/umbrella term for Scott's system is CST and it encompasses all the BB, BF, WW material etc (not just the Clubbells).

I teach Pilates and strongly believe in massage so the wholistic approach of the RMAX stuff sounds very agreable to me. I've also done some soft and hard Qigong so the breathing work has great appeal.

I did some of the bodyflow neck rolls yesterday after having watched the clip from Scott's article. They were great. They were much more challenging than Scott made them look (he makes them appear so easy but hey, that's the sign of a pro isn't it). It took a couple of minutes but once I was able to perform them smoothly they felt terrific, I'm also strongly in agreement with him on the topic of neck bridging (or shall I say NOT neck bridging).

If get the chance to catch up and build some rapport with you we could even look at incorporating some of your ideas in article or something if you are interested.

Thank you for such a friendly and warm welcome Randall, I really look forward to chatting/writing you. Thanks for the invite about Brisy. Likewise, if you're ever in Adelaide feel welcome to give me a call 08 8234 5944

Matt,

I think you will enjoy CST ( yes - it does encompass all the above plus much more) and the forum greatly.

Please don't be shy - you will find a diverse range of people here ( most of whom are very humble yet often achieving incredible things) and importantly people interested in a wide range of research and healthy, balanced self improvement.

Cheers
Randell :D

Gotta go (my wife is in the midst of her deadlifts and needs a hand) but I'll try to get back to on that tensegrity stuff in next few days.

Have a great night.
