If only there were an Emoticon with a Monocle

In any case, I went back to my bruiser drawing board looking for another killer whole body blaster and this time, I think I out did myself.

Clockwork Squats:
-for the purposes of this description all gripping will be done with a Right Grip, that is how a righty would grab a baseball bat.
-begin holding the Clubbell in Chest Park with a Right Grip, leaning the Clubbell against your right pec.
-turn your body just about 45 degrees and launch the Clubbell up at an outward 45 degree to your body, as if you were starting an Outward Pendulum
-let your trunk sway/twist as you track the Clubbell through it's downward arc across your body
-as it rises in the opposite side arc pull it in to catch it in shoulder park and just as it touches down sink into a rock bottom squat.
-as you rise back out of the squat use your upward momentum to launch it back into the arc that got it to that shoulder previously
-continue side to side and expect some DOMS across your upper back and throughout your core the day after working these
-Be sure to work from both grips in both directions to keep from training asymmetry.

As you might be able to tell, this exercise works off of a Two-Handed Pendulum. I developed this out of the ideas that I've been having for two-handed Bruiser Clubbell work based off of the Indian Gada. It seems like there is a whole sub-section of exercises for the Bruiser to be worked like this with two hands.

Hope you enjoy these as much as I do.

I love it! Your 2-handed Bruiser stuff is adding a whole new dimension to heavy Clubbell work. Can't wait to try these!!

Coach Szolek,

I really enjoyed your articles, especially in this last issue. I was curious to see if you had any plans of putting all your unique ideas into a video? I hope others on the site would be as eager as I would to purchase such a great resource.

Keep up the great work!

Josh, thank you for your interest and enthusiasm!

As for grouping all of my ideas well, you are the first of many to go public with this request so I guess that means it's time for a public answer...

The Olympic Clubbell Sport Training Manual
Everything You Need to Know to Excel in the Most Grueling Strength Endurance Sport

will be released very shortly.

And...

Coach Szolek's 45lbs. Manual: Knuckledragger ABC's (Anobolic Bruiser Conditioning)

will be soon to follow.
A video of the latter may be down the road aswell but we'll have to wait and see what the tribe demands. Stay tuned to CST Magazine and this wonderful forum for exact release dates.

Coach Szolek

Looking forward to your manual on the ABCs! Would it be possible to have it available at the next CST? Also when is you book on leverage lifting due out?

Chris, think Jackson Five...

"ABC will be ready by the CST."
"ABC is an offshoot of CST."

I suppose apologies are in order

in any case, yes the 45lb Manual will be ready by the CST Gamma. Thanks for your interest. And after reading your great Explosive Strength Edurance, I think you're gonna love Anabolic Bruiser Conditioning.
