Hey gang, I want to get everyone involved in wishing the one person, most responsable for creating this means of communally sharing and growing together, a great big Happy Birthday!

I've been training with Coach Sonnon, since 1998 and over the years I have watched his ideas evolve over and over, always pushing deeper into the core of personal freedom. It has not been an easy road, but what would there be to gain if it had. Friends and partners have come and gone over those years as they were forced to confront their own fear through Scott's training methods. I've seen personally many times where he could have halted the growth of his system to please so many involved at that time, but every time, he took the selfless road of growth, not for his own benefit, but for the benefit of so many people who he had not even met yet.

Had it not been for his tireless efforts, Circular Strength Training would still be an oddity locked in the basements of Physical Culture rather than a growing school of true Knuckledraggers, teaching more and more individuals a deeper knowledge of themselves everyday.

There are over 300 such individuals registered to this forum and several million hitting CST Magazine, gaining and sharing information to grow a deeper knowledge of themselves. To put it plainly, we would not have these resources if not for Scott's work. Just last night I saw him burning the midnight oil making sure that the new issue of CST Magazine made it out by the deadline. I would say the guy's a machine, but no machine would go to so much trouble and effort for the gain of others. I guess the best way I can put it is to say that Scott Sonnon is a Detailed Instructor, Hard-Nosed Trainer, Inspiring Coach, and Caring Teacher. He has helped me personally in more ways that I can count, and I am blessed to call him, friend.

Join me Knuckledraggers, in wishing Coach Scott Sonnon a very Happy Birthday!

Sincerely,
Doug Szolek

Happy B-day Coach!!

There is not a better example of a trainer/coach/instructor who "leads by example" than Coach Sonnon. It would be easy for him to sit up on his mountain and preach the "Gospel According to Sonnon", but he has never taken that path, always choosing instead to show us the way to find our own way.
Most trainers love to tell you about their accomplishments but how many are willing to also share their "failures" as a way to help others grow?? Not many.

Thanks for everything Scott & Happy Birthday!!
( What are you know....29?)

-Brandon Jones, CST

*If there was a Gospel According to Sonnon, the Acronym would be G.A.S.

Thanks for the notice and opportunity Doug. Happy birthday Coach, and thanks for growing and anchoring The Tribe. What we're all able to do and discover today and tomorrow is attributable to your vision, energy, leadership.

Other coaches have produced winning players and seasons, starting with their pick of elite performers. Coach, RMAX and its branches (on which I'm proud to be a leaf) have produced a far-reaching revolution in physical wellness and functionality, starting with elite performers as well as veterate taildraggers like myself.

Personally, what appealed to me initially was the objectivity, analytical and inclusive nature of the group and its proponents. The overall approach got right past my self-help-cynical nature. Then a couple years later, there's the slight matter of shaving 25 calendar years off my corroded arthrokinesiology. No single person or entity has had as great an impact on my quality-of-life, and that's just me, there's somewhere between 10,000 and 2 million other candles on your cake today Coach.

Thanks,
Rick

Happy Birthday Coach Sonnon,

As others have said, without you there would be no Circular Strength Training for the common Joe or Jane.

I have always greatly appreciated the fact that you do not claim to be a "guru". I was amazed upon looking over your site for the first time and seeing articles on how to make home-made versions of the Clubbell. In my experience with the fitness industry, you are one of the few people to show so much devotion to helping the lost find their way.

You have always impressed me with your ability to speak through both word and action. Many have mastered one but few have mastered both.

Without you, my life would not be the same. I would not have had the courage to pursue my dreams in the face of so much adversity. Truly every day I find greater truth in your statement, "we are all alone in this together."

Thank You,
Jesse Wells

Coach Sonnon,

Happy Birthday!!!!! I can only sum up my feelings in one small sentence.

YOU DA MAN!!!!

Thank you for your tireless work on all things, thank you for offering your life's blood to the eager masses of Knuckledraggers.

I know it's not easy to expose your "children" to everyone the way you do.

You are a true Warrior and Renaissance Man.

Thank you for helping me make the changes in my life that most matter,
Sincerly,
James Linn

Coach Sonnon is a source of inspiration and profound knowledge. My entire approach to physical training and martial arts has been transformed through knowing him. Simply put, he's the very definition of Good Guy, and I'm proud to be his friend and student.
