My wife and I were in a serious car accident today. Fortunately, we're both OK.
We're both very sore though... whiplash is a definite, as well as various aches and pains down the neck and spine, as well as in the ribs for me.
Went to the emergency room. Pretty much a waste of time. They didn't really want to do x-rays, suggesting that we have our primary care physician do it, since the doctor ordering the x-rays is responsible for following up and ER doctors have inconvenient schedules. Sigh.
So, until we can get to an orthopedist, x-rays and MRIs are not options.
Question... should my wife and I try to do some neck and spine mobility drills until then to keep everything limber? Or should we wait? Should we try to keep ourselves loose? Or should we be reserved with out movements? I don't know if we should try to keep the muscles loosened up, or allow them to tense up to protect any alignment issues until we can get official help?
Thoughts anyone? (Is there a doctor in the house?)
