View Full Version : The feeling aspect of physical exercise

I have long been interested in the interaction between my physical practices, how they affected my interiority, and how they enable my expressivity.

I find that CST creates an interiority of strength, boldness, and flow, and allows me to be more direct in physical expression.

For me, the purpose of a health discipline is primarily "subjective" rather than "objective". Not just "how does it make me feel", but also, "what does it enable me to feel and express".

There is a certain school of theatre, associated with Viola Spolin in particular, which emphasises the practice of spontaneous physicalization
of the interior. I would welcome anybody's musings on this whole matter of the "physicalization of the interior" enabled or engendered by Coach Sonnon's work.

I'm not very far along at objectifying or expressing it Louis, but there's definitely something there.

Like you touched on, it's a feeling, and an ability to feel, to move as you want to and your musculoskeleture responds.

This seems to tie in with Body Flow. I haven't begun to practice that yet, having just starting Warrior Wellness, but I plan to move onto that soon along with the Clubbells. Sorry I can't be more helpful but maybe directing your questions there.

Best wishes,
Diane
