I've just watched the entire bodyflow series and am really eager to start practising but I can't decide how to start off.

Are the exercises in order of difficulty?

What do you guys usually recomend to someone just starting out.

Is it a good idea to cut out other training while practising the movements for the first time.

I also just got relax into stretch by pavel, do you think I should do his program for a couple of weeks to help relax my muscles before attempting bodyflow.

Thanks.

Follow the program guidelines in the book, Ed.

You don't need RIS. Body-Flow teaches Selective Tension (appropriate balance of relaxation and tension) by the nature of Biomechanical Exercise.

Ed,

Page 73 in the book is your guideline.

Pick one movement, say the Ball squat. If you are comfortable there, flow into squat creep, then try to flow in a FF squat, then a cossack squat, if you are comfortable there flow into knee switches and begin to incorporate shinrolls and shinboxes. ***All the while noticing what's going on in your body, where are you relaxed and where are you holding tension, breathing, movement and alignment.

This is just an example. You are the conductor. No one knows your body as well as you.

The Bodyflow video has excellent examples.

Take your time. Use them for warm-ups or active recovery.

Play!!

Thanks Robert,

So I guess the feeling what you are doing aspect is teaching you to be in control all the time andbeing aware.

I'm starting today with bodyflow and clubbells, it's gonna be fun.
