Hello all,

I am a 25 year old military officer currently working in the nation's capital. I have been working out regularly for the past 12 years. I started with weight room style lifting, distance running and traditional martial arts (8 yrs experience). Lately I have been lucky enough to study BJJ at a good academy, and come across Coach Sonnon's advice.

I suffered 2 surgery producing injuries pushing my self too hard in snowboarding and skateboarding(separated shoulder and torn ACL). I loved those two sports because they were all about finding the flow. I realized that pushing so hard was what caused me to hurt myself, and I began to change my approach. When I first read Bodyflow a few months ago it really hit home, and my practice has been enjoyable. The exercises helped me get the final A-OK feeling in my rebuilt knee.

I'm most interested in BME's, breathing, and kinetic chains. Since I've been doing Body Flow practice grappling has become MUCH easier. I've only been doing grappling for five months, but I am very happy with my progress and abilities!!! I go to BJJ class 5-7 times a week and its not too taxing at all.

My goals are to one day open my own BJJ school and to stay fit and healthy as long as possible. Steve Maxwell is an inspiration!

Thanks to all who have given good advice!

Welcome to the Tribe, Lee! You are right that CST directly enhances performance in grappling. You're talking my language now. Body-Flow is an integral aspect of CST, and I look forward to reading about your discoveries and progress.
