Welcome to Team Body-Flow!

How do you become a member of Team Body-Flow?

By using Body-Flow to fuel your imagination!

Team Body-Flow Requirements:

You must create and post a Kinetic Chain that contains the following...

Starts from standing, engages the ground, and ends with you standing.

Preserves the Inertia.............(Meaning the movement doesn't stop until the KC is over)

Has at least 1 new move that you created.

The Kinetic Chain should be looped seamlessly 3 times!Optional:
Obstacle work is highly regarded!

Why?

When someone first begins BF they are usually the obstacle that is impeding their flow.
Then it is their own body that becomes the obstacle that impedes the flow.
Once you move past these obstacles it is prudent to start to add external obstacles that can really pressure test your ability to flow.

Dan ,
a compilation DVD of Teams/peoples entries would certainly go on my Xmas list and help spread the word

Thanks for the input John,

What are the 3 Hardest Body-Flow moves in your opinion?

Talk to you soon!

Dan , for me the whole of body flow was leading leading to the neck roll.

Tried the neckroll as soon as I got the book (3 months ago) and imitated a very drunken , unco-ordinatd duck who couldn't do a neckroll.

3 months later after much practice of the intermediary steps it just "flowed" out.

Now I am going to go back and try refining the moves and buildng my own chains.

The sad thing "ego-wise" is that the neckroll doesnt look that flashy, people would be quite unimpressed if they saw you do it until they tried to do it themselves.

But between "Kill Bill" , "You got served" and Body flow I have the buidling blocks for some wicked chains just dont hold your breath for my "Team BodyFlow" Application.

The most important thing is to get your camera's ready and show us your stuff! Would it be worth it if the movement you create truly inspired someone else even if you didn't make the team? By the way you can try as may times as you like and we'll give you feedback. I'd think the whole process would be worth it just to get the feedback and help others. That's what Body-Flow is about!

I have 2 nominations to announce,

I nominate Robert Verdell & Joseph Schwartz,

Robert is a movement Veteran and a CST,
and
Joseph is a CST hopeful that has already started creating his own unique movements!

Look forward to seeing you Flow guys!

I vote for a Bloopers category.

I can do a killer Long Arm Roll which, when miscalculated in a too-small space in the living room behind a couch, can launch a 17 yo DD into the air on the other side.

It's too bad no one has picked anything, I agree a Bloopers reel would be fun! Reel Fun! But we have to have a something to try to get the Bloopers to come out! Any ideas? Surely some of you are having trouble with some exercise and would like to see it done for free?

Since Friday is the last day to choose exercises I'll choose a few myself, feel free to chime in.

Neck Roll, Twisting Spinal Arch, and Reverse Quad Squat.

Talk to you soon.

Dan,

it would be sweet to see you do a Neck Roll, Twisting Spinal Arch, and a long leg creep.and if you can add in a shinbox switch!

for me the twisting spinal arch has been a small problem because i have not done it as much as i should.

go for it Dan.this should be sweet!
