Could somebody tell me how long the 5LB. Clubbells are? I'd like to know in advance if i'm going to have "ceiling issues".

If you're standard height (over 5'5) and have standard ceilings (8ft) you'll be limited in the overhead plane with all Clubbells. (Sorry, I don't have the exact measurement on 5s... 10s are 25".)

You aren't planning to use the 5# CBs to go through stick patterns, are you? It's not a good idea.
If you are planning to use them for weighted ROM, like Mobilized Strength, then you're on the right track.
The 5# CBs are 20 or 22" in length.

Thanks guys'. Looks like it's gonna' be a backyard workout. BTW, it's for Mobilized Strength. I have rattan sticks for stick patterns

Joe, you can use 5lbs Clubbells to target the range and depth of your stick fighting skills, without simulating the skills themselves - such as with Bullwhips and Hammer Throws. You can also use your Clubbells to target the explosive, ballistic power generation of your art.

Joe,
Just FYI the 5lb Clubbells are 20 inches in length.

Thanks, Chris. Add 2 feet of arm length to the average 5-foot shoulder height and almost any handheld implement hits an 8-ft ceiling. Lots of exercises you can do with Clubbells that don't require overhead arm extension. But yeah, using them 'full-range' takes space.

Unless you modify them to be all leverage tips, rather than torch overhead. Then, if you're in a room where you can put your hands overhead, you can use your Clubbells.

I agree Coach. Most of my training is done indoors in an upstairs bedroom, which I'm temporarily using until my garage is finished!! I found that I could do swipes, mills, most grinds using a leverage press, inward, outward, forward pendulums. I definitely cannot do any circles. I'm 5'7" tall and have an extremely long arm length for my size. (Doug can attest to that, he was amazed how long my arms were at the seminar for my height). It just takes alot of awareness. I'm looking forward to start my training in my garage, because the ceilings are much higher and a lot more room for swinging.
....and now I'll throw in a favorite quote of mine,
"If it's possible it is done, if it's impossible it will be done."

prehaps this low roof problem could be solved with a different movement? Maybe a circle and squat combo? as you swing the upperhalf of the circle squat down as you preform the lowerhalf stand back up? Might be fun
