Coach,

Thank you again for the welcome. Looking forward to your new book.

I was curious about the diet you follow. I read some of the other posts and I wonder what foods you eat to get that balance between protein and fiber you mentioned.

I would like to know what you followed to lose 40 pounds in 3 months. That is very quick.

If you can help I would definitely appreciate it. Have tried some high protein stuff before but always looking for something that might be easier to live with.

Thanks again.
Peace
Rich

Rich, I was asked similarly about my diet over at my training log thread and gave a pretty extensive list of what I'm currently eating. Look for it near the bottom of the first page of the thread at the above link.

As for my rapid weight loss, It was definately not easy and definately not healthy (overall).

I awoke to 5-6 scrambled eggs, with generous amounts of shredded colby-jack chees and salsa. On morning break (10 minutes) I'd perform a high rep density Quad Hop program that I had set up. For lunch, I had a single chicken breast seasoned with curry, cinamon, cayanne etc. and usually did some 60+ 50lbs. Dumbell Snatches with each arm (before eating). On afternoon break, I'd hit the high rep Quad Hops again. then directly after work, I'd go to a park and run for 20 to 30 minutes. After getting home from the run, I'd have a protien shake (1/2 cup whole milk and 1 scoop designer whey), then later I'd do some high rep Clubbell work (I think most of the time I was working a density cycle with Heavy Class Clubbells in the Swipe). After that, it'd be another lonely chicken breast, and maybe a glass of milk.

so you see, it was not easy nor healthy, due primarily to the lack of fiber and greenage, and the over training. I survived it with the help of Warrior Wellness and frequently changing up exactly what I trained on certain days. But do not read this as an endorsement of that diet. I only did this because of certain opportunities requiring an expedited loss of body fat.

If you are looking to loose some weight contact me over at the program design help forum and we'll see what you've got to work with and exactly where you want to go :)

Until then,
