I'm moving to Tyler, Texas in a few months. I'm curious if anyone knows of a good martial arts school there. I would prefer chinese MA or grappling, but the quality of the school is more important to me than the style. In general, I would prefer to avoid Korean MA as it's a bit rough on my knees. I have a 20+ year background in mostly Korean MA (Tang Soo Do and Tae Kwon Do), as well as some Filipino MA and JKD.

My work schedule will make extensive travelling pretty difficult, so even the relatively short 90 minute drive to some of Dallas's excellent schools will be prohibitive.

Thanks for any advice or suggestions.

Stephen

I don't actually know the names. Some friends I know who are good martial artists have trained at a BJJ school and a CMA school down there. I can try and get the names of their instructors/schools for you. Is there a specific discipline you're looking for?
