Got the 5lbs. a while ago and have been doing abstract exercises with them. I'm 110 pounds so they're as close as I could get....I can do anything with them at medium-high reps, but I don't really know of any exercises, less so that fit my goals. I've pretty much been doing clean to order-up and behind my shoulder at high reps (50-100 at a time). Beyond that, I'm unsure.....
I need functional strength and static strength, both in my upper body.
Any suggestions would be appreciated
Thanks,
-Ilya

Welcome, Ilya! Glad to see you want to take your CBs to the next step.
Besides your goals of upper body functional strength, what other movement / sports /activities do you do? Including your job. This is so we can schedule your sessions and understand where or if your balance of work and recovery comes in.
Also, when you do your medium-high rep work, did you by any chance note your RPE and RPT? Those are measures of technique and how hard it feels.
(here's an article about that: Intuitive Training (http://www.circularstrengthmag.com/17/sonnon2.html). (it's also in the CB book)
Just so we can get an idea of what it feels like for you when you do those abstract exercises.

Well, I'm 16 so job would be student. Beyond that, I've done muay Thai, BJJ, etc. Both for fun and competitively. I'd say that the Clean to order+over shoulder @ 50 reps would be a 6/10 as far as perceived difficulty.
I just don't know any other exercises to do....
Thanks,
-Ilya

Okay, gotcha.
John Myers has nice beginner and intermediate workouts you might like:

Check em out and see what you think! Good luck and do remember to take note of your Technique and Difficulty like it says in the Intuitive Training article. That way, you will see your progress as it gets easier and easier to do the moves better and better.
