Gentlefolks:
I am new to the forum and new to CST in general. I have the CST book and and awaiting the DVD. I am also waiting for the Warrior Wellenss to be available on DVD. In the meantime I have a couple of questions:
1. Is it possible to have a safe working knowledge of the exercises to attempt doing them from watching the DVD?
2. I live in the Long Island area in NY. Does anyone know of any seminars by a CST in the NY area?
Your feedback will be greatly appreciated.
Respectfully

Absolutely, in fact the video probably depicts the exercises in more detail than the book because you get to see each exercise in full motion!
I was going to ask a similar question, but no need to. I have placed my order and hopefully the Book, DVD, and clubs will arrive tomorrow. I cant wait, :D

Thanks all for the the replies.
I am definitely going to place an order for a pair of Clubbells before Xmas. Hopefully, I will be able to buy the warrior wellness before that. Thanks again.

Yes - we are all self taught geniuses here :) I myself am a smart as a Coca Cola machine and as strong as a Russian bear,
(yeah - that joke probably needs context)
Re: learning from DVD's etc.
There's nothing particularly esoteric abt it. If you want, I'm sure one of our 'regular' teachers here could talk abt the impact and use of multimedia on learning. Plus lots of good research out there about 'autodidactic learning' via multimedia no doubt.
Sure you'll experience difficulties, aches, confusion. Such is life - it likes to slap you around a bit to make sure your serious :)
Take heed that those that have gone before you, following similar paths (video only) have for the large part turned out ok.
So to give you a starting point (not that you probably need one) -
Watch the video, find a few exercise you like and start playing with them. Then after a while, try a few more. Spend a month or two doing this, then you can start creating a specific program for yourself.
In the meantime, if during your exploration phase you have any difficulties, post a msg and we'll be on it like flies on stink.
Dunno 'bout local instructors tho.
