Hello all,

I have to admit to being rather unimaginative when it comes to Bodyflow and developing a kinetic chain. I've been doing well with some of the individual BME's (shinbox switch and knee switch). These two are very good for my knees and hips where I have some tension. I need any ideas on how to combine these (with other BME's also) into a kinetic chain that I can begin utilizing. Any ideas or help is appreciated. Although I've been working most on these 2 BME's, I'm not averse to trying anything else in the Bodyflow book, so please don't limit your responses. Thank you.

Aaron,

I might be able to film some kinetic chains for you to try. Using the exercises that you mentioned above. I will see how it goes at work today. Hopfully I can give you some ideas. It’s easier for me to explain on video then in words.

Hope it could be of help!

Max

Thanks Max. That would be great. I liked the clubbell combos you posted earlier today. It's way too cold to train outside here in Edmonton but I'm going to give the 5Step a whirl. You do some great work on this forum - keep it up. Here's to hoping you're not missing the NHL season too much.

Aaron,

Here are the small chains for you to try!

I thought I would post them now before bed; I need a good nights rest. They are fairly simple. But if you have not done a kinetic chain yet these might be fun. I enjoy them, lol. Feel free to experiment with other exercises.

Do you have the body-flow videos? They were the difference for me when it came to learning the movements.

Let me know how it goes?

I mostly used the knee switches and shin box switches.

Thanks Max, exactly what I was looking for. Will likely take a few sessions before I can do these but should be doable.

Unfortunately, I don't have the Bodyflow video yet, just the book. Making sure I was outfitted with Warrior Wellness and Clubbells was priority. And we both know how Revenue and Customs Canada like their little share of goods crossing the border-makes things a lot more expensive than they need to be.

My wife received her 5 lb Clubbells and Mobilized Strength the other day. I thought the clubbells were so little compared to the 15's I am using. Then I tried a few drills from Mobilized Strength - humbling. But, she's excited to get going with this and that makes me feel pretty good. She likes the results I'm getting from what she calls, "alternative strength training."

Here are some of the basic kinetic chains I have my group do.

1. From standing- cossack squat to right- screw into shinbox- extend left arm behind you and melt into a Postion of Assurance- shinbox to left- shin roll to triangle squat - unscrew your legs back into a flat foot squat

2. From standing - cossack squat to right - place hands down and long leg creep back to a cossack squat postion - rotate to your left into a hamstring stretch ( left leg extended, toes pointed up, squatting with right leg ), place palms down in front of you into a elevated scorpion, slide into a cossack squat to left, long creep to left, repeat

3. Postion of Assurance into a leg thread to face down, method one shoulder screw roll, back into Position of Assurance, repeat ( FOr you Jiu-jitsu guys, you can Upa and then leg thread )

Nice Kinetic Chains Guys!

Aaron,

I'm glad hear about you and your wife's introduction to Mobilized Strength.
If you need any help with the program, I'm here. :)

Thanks for the ideas, gentlemen. And Coach, I'll let you know if we have any questions that arise.
