Tribe,
Well, if you've been following the prior Wage Fun contests, you'll recognize these three prior video clip winners: WAGE FUN I: Wheeling Bridge Advanced (http://www.circularstrengthmag.com/images/wheelingbridge2.avi)
WAGE FUN II: Wall Jump (http://www.max.syptex.com/WallJumpAndFlow.mpg)
WAGE FUN III: Swooping Worm (http://www.circularstrengthmag.com/images/swoopworm.avi)
We're taking it a HUGE step up with this next contest and RMAX is offering, to the winner of our Tribe free, admission to the CST Eta Cadre Seminar (http://www.circularstrength.com/cbcert.html) in Bellingham, WA: a $1,797 value!
To register, post a link to you performing your best Body-Flow Kinetic Chain here from now until DEC 25 midnight PCT. From DEC25 until JAN2, the Tribe will vote on who has the smoothest chain. Remember that to win it must be SMOOTH, not necessarily highly 'athletic' or highly 'complicated.' It's flow that counts! This will not be a regular contest prize, so don't wait until "next time"!
The winner is on his or her way to CST Eta Seminar saving almost $1,800!
No, Dan Chomycia does not qualify for this contest.

Flanagan,
Maybe Monkey (Damien like to be called Monkey) does have a time machine. If you do, then let go back to the future, bro.

i've already been in deep deep thought about new kinetic chains and have come up with six variations on the same theme.... :(

Only the perfect kinetic chain can produce the 1.21 gigawatz necessary to go back in time.
Ughh...even I have to roll my eyes at that one...but I couldn't resist.

not that I want anymore competition :) but shouldnt this be in the announcements section or atleast be a sticky? Also I never did get an answer as to how many flows we are allowed to enter. Can I assume there is not a limit?

brian,
i answered you once previously and on the first page of this thread you can find that this was an accident on my behalf.
this contest has expired, it is more than a year old and is not valid...
thats why there were all the jokes about going back in time, etc.
and i put up that i'm still keen for some competition, but it's just for fun and no prizes.
so... if you are interested in my competition... go ahead and enter as many flows as you could possibly desire!
i'm still a way off yet, but i'll start putting some up in a month or two.... just for fun.

well I am sorry I did not get that part of the joke. I tend to read these things once and its probably not a good idea to do so at 3am. You miss things. Too bad anyway would have been fun. That does explain why the information is so difficult to find :) Ahh well maybe there will be another wage fun contest soon and I'll be able to use my flow ideas then.

Brian,
I understanding wanting to have a contest, it seems like its more appopriate to share your progress...that...and free stuff.
But realize if you want so share something you've been working on, you're just as welcome to as you would be if there were a contest. You never know, you may share one flow and then all of a sudden a bunch of us start building off a concept you played around with and before you know it, theres are these great new exercises being brewed up all around here.
I personally want there to be more contests around here, I dont know if other people would participate but it makes things more lively around here. If you feel the same way, make your voice heard - I'm sure Scott has more hats than people who can swipe a bruiser 60 times in a minute:D

I dont mind posting flows and other such materials if I think they may be interesting to others. I'd just like to be able to join in with atleast one RMAX contest. When the wage fun and other competitions were going on I was unable to participate as I did not know the material well enough and had no way to make a video to post. Now both of those obstacles are removed and I wanna play. I've got a great neck roll flow I've been saving for a special occasion. But no competitions have come up for a while other than the bruiser challenge, that I cannot do as I only have the bruiser Jr, and the transformation challenge that seems to have been shelled for the moment. So I got very excited when I read this thread thinking another wage fun contest was coming up. I wanna play! :D

If you do a search from a few years back on here there was a "Team Clubbell" and a "Team BodyFlow". Basically to qualify you needed to post a combination routine or a bodyflow chain that contained several different challenging components. The Team Clubbell one also has my favorite Clubbell combination ever, Coach Jones' "Gut Check". Do a search and maybe we can get something similar going if that intrigues you.

i would love more contests.
i made a post sometime ago on the old forum about this and the only person who responded was max.... who has now seemed to dissapear from here, unfortunately.
i would love to see more contests emphasising the creative aspect... that is unique kinetic chains, unique clubbell combos, prasara flows, etc.
which is why i suggested we have a little contest of our own anyway.... i'm working on some ideas, but it's gonna be a couple of months off before i am ready to expose them to the critical public eye hahaha.

I also like the idea to doing more attribute-based training contests cause its a great way to pressure test your own training methods As the Bruiser swipe contest will pressure test my speed-strength and strength cycles that I will be working on for the next several months. However, they are less likely to get active participation because many people are too intent on their own goals - I know I'm guilty of that one.

cool....
give me a couple of months and i'll be applying for both teams.
as for a bruiser swipe contest.... not for me yet!!! i don't have access to a bruiser, nor do i think i could even clean one to order (or possibly even lift it at all).

I plan on doing it with Jr. Its more about the process - "How can I devise a THP(or several) to prepare me for that task?"

Sean - Do those teams still exist?

no. I just provided those links to show what kind of contest-like thing we could do

why don't we start up some new ones then?
they don't need to even have prizes attached to them.... and i don't think any of the head coaches or administration would object?
i'm in, regardless....

Like I said if we can get a contest going such as a prasara flow/ wage fun type thing I am in. I think it would be good for the community here to have contests regularly. As far as prizes go how about a signed hat and a write up in the CST magazine? Thats more than enough. I think most of all its just the thrill of compeititon and the challenge of it that makes it worth while. After all isnt Training, Practice and Competition the big 3 of the 3DPP? We've got spades of the first 2 around here.
