I own warrior wellness, fisticuffs full set, the zdrovye breathing tape, and grapplers toolbox volume 1. Grapplers toolbox was the first tape that i purchased from rmax. I immediately saw the benefit in the material however impatience got the best of me and in this world of instant messaging, one click shopping etc. etc. patience is a virtue that fewer and fewer people have. I tried the basic squat position from which the shinbox, and the various other movements flow from. I could not even do this movement. So I did the natural thing...I gave up! Later on i bought the other tapes listed above. It was not until the recent year that rmax began to make sense to me as a whole. Thats when i started incorporating warrior wellness into my routine. It seems these standing joint exercises are user friendly, not intimidating at all and are "easy" (Im only on the beginner level). Sophisticating the range of motion of your joints while standing seems like a very accomplishable task.

But the ground, Grapplers toolbox, bodyflow etc. seem daunting and seem as if it will takes months and years to reach such levels. of movement mastery.

I feel that to further sophisticate my movement, i must continue with warrior wellness until i am quite comfortable with the advanced program. Then i should perform the fisticuffs prime your bioenergy movements. Then possibly look into freedom by degree.

So basically i think i should aim for mastery on my two feet before mastering joint mobility and general body movement on the ground.

After one has sophisticated their movement in one plane, the ground seemsmore accesible. Is this theory accurate.

The grappers tool box material seems so advanced and difficult but i feel progression in this program will yield tremendous benefits for my grappling game.

Thoughts, suggestions etc. are welcome.

Andrew,

I have to laugh at myself because at one point in time I thought just like you!

No

In general the knowlege that you gain from one plane can help you in other planes in fact they can amplify the education you get from the most familiar planes.

I tried the basic squat position from which the shinbox, and the various other movements flow from. I could not even do this movement. So I did the natural thing...I gave up!
I don't know about quitting being natural, didn't wonder why you couldn't do it? Certainly now would be a good time to ask.

Look, just because you couldn't do one movement, doesn't mean that all of the other movements are inaccessible to you. I remember my one of my school teachers would give me the following advice when working on a test. She would say, "If you get to a spot that you can't work through, then move on to the next spot."

Well it is obvious why she told that to me, because I would think that everything has to be perfect. I thought that everything must be in perfect order, and if I couldn't do everything, then there was nothing worth doing.

I feel that to further sophisticate my movement, i must continue with Warrior Wellness™ until i am quite comfortable with the advanced program. Then i should perform the fisticuffs Prime Your Bioenergy™ movements. Then possibly look into Freedom by Degree™.
This is ok to intuit your path, but don't sell yourself short. There are many movements that you could do later on in the program. Did you watch the rest of the video?

If you are having trouble, breaking the movements down, I suggest Body-Flow book. It is more incremental in development and explains the movements in simple detail.

The basic principle is to look for what you CAN do not for what you can't, other wise you'll always be behind what you expect your potential to be.

Just by doing what you CAN, you'll start to be able to do what you think you SHOULD be able to do.

Ask me how I know!

thanks for the response. As far as "quitting being the natural response" i was being sarcastic. But again thanks for the advice. I will look for the things i can do and go from there.
