Hi folks
Why are the shoulders and elbows worked singly and as in pairs? Is is strictly for the sake of coordination?

In beginning WW it can be hard to keep track of both arms doing the full articulation together, so it's demonstrated one arm at a time. In advanced, they move together and for example the infinities with both arms is pretty daunting coordination, you want to have a foundation or it would be real frustrating.
Core (thorax) and core-transitional (pelvic and shoulder girdles) structures really don't work 'independently' so shoulders are always moved together.
(If that's what you were asking, Mark. If not, restate the question. There are also folks who can answer it more definitively.)

Thanks for the answers!
So, the goal is to have both arms moving at the same time. Good. It will ultimately make the sessions more efficient (and shorter).
Take it easy
