Having read several very interesting posts and questions about clubbell size selection, I have decided to go with the 15lbers. I have roughly 30-35 years in physical culture (running, weighttraining, football, martial arts, triathlon)I am currently doing a "kettlebell" routine using 35 lb dumbbells and am about to move up to 40's. My main goal is to increase my core strength, and my dynamic strength endurance for martial arts (primarily stickfighting and grappling) as well as for life in general (turning 50 Nov. 06, don't want to be stiff old guy). I will be using the book, as I have video machine usage competition with my wife, and as a library worker, I am an unabashed book junkie. I hope to use the various clips available on this site to catch the flavor of Clubbell movement. Now for my question... in many of the clips, and a lot of the exercise/workout descriptions people give, it seems as if you are working out outside. Now I live in rainy Vancouver, BC (Coach Sonnon can relate). Are the grips on these beauties good for working out in the rain, or would I be better off working out indoors, in my admittedly rather small work out room, or would I be unduly risking holey walls and an angry wife...
any comments/suggestions are welcome.

Lew, I think Circular Strength Training just lend itself to be done in the sun, though as a fellow Pac. N.W. resident I know the sun doesn't always show. If you're working indoors I think the ceiling height is the real issue, if you're carefull you're walls will be fine. Also watch out for pets and kids if these critter frequent your house.

Thank you for the response, Coach Szolek. Hadn't really thought too much about the ceiling, since I am 5'5'' and shrinking, but I will remember to measure my distances...and if it gets really bad, I'll just keep them at work, and use them in the squash courts at the gym... I've done pretty much everything there, martial arts training, hard sparring, calisthentic workouts, and even squash on occasion... and I'm not the only one...heck the other day, I was on court three doing some shadow boxing and I heard this strange thwap, thwap sound. Finally just had to go see what it was, it was two guys in shorts with some kind of lightweight tennis racket, hitting this little ass ball... Turns out it was squash.. and here I was thinking the game had something to do with the vegetable...

I have the same problem. I live in Vancouver and even though the weather has been great so far, I'm sure the rain is coming. The real problem is that my ceilings are rather low! I can touch the ceiling with my finger tips if I'm on my toes. Sucks, because the clubs look great!

However, don't read my warning of low ceilings as an excuse to put off getting some Clubbells. I got mine in the fall of 2002 when I was living in south western Pennsylvania so out door training wasn't really an option for at least 6 months. So I focused on the OCS lifts (the Swipe and Mill) which can easily be performed under an average ceiling.
So work with what you've got, but by all means work :)
What's the length on the 10 and 15 lber?

I live in New West, on Queen's Ave. between 7th and eighth st. I'll post when I get the Clubbells, and you can over and give them a heft.
