The Four Corner Balance Drill gives me the most difficulty on the Warrior Wellness Beginner tape. Right now I am doing the drill at a low range and not rushing my progress but improving with consistency. Today, I went swimming at the healthclub I belong to and after swimming laps I did the Four Corner Balance Drill in the water as an experiment. The water definitely supports your balance and weight so I was wondering if it is ok to use the water as a way to improve my area of weakness: Four Corner Balance Drill?l With the water supporting my weight and balance I am able to raise my legs higher. Do you think think this is a good way to improve myself with the 4 corner balance drill or is it not a good idea? Any thoughts or suggestions? With that being said I am doing well with Warrior Wellness by practicing with gradualness, passion and most importantly CONSISTENCY.

I would like to share with you all an interesting Warrior Wellness success story. One of the more difficult things to do in freestyle swimming is called alternate side breathing. It is something most swimmers do not do. They tend to breath from one side. As a result of my Warrior Wellness practice I have increased my range of motion and coordination. I am doing alternate side breathing with the great of ease. My neck doesnt jerk when I turn, my fingers stretch further, and my flutter kicking are pumping. Swimming is a full body excercise, and wow if only more swimmers used Warrior Wellness.

water is such a wonderful thing. It makes almost any kind of training more challenging and beneficial (except jumping rope :D ) I may have to look into that idea. My right hip cramps up BAD when I do the 4 corner balance drills. Thats been my big fear reactivity to work through. My left knee was until recently crippled and now when I stand on my left leg with my right off the ground my leg tenses up way to much (fear of the bone slipping out of place again) and causes my right hip to cramp. I'm keeping my foot low and gradually working it higher but your pool idea might be a big help to me. Thanks for the tip

Good idea - the buoyancy will probably help your body remain more relaxed in the 4CBD. You may also want to hold onto a chair, wall, or other support when practicing on your left side. This may reduce your fear-reactivity when you don't have pool access.
