Hello all,
I began following Coach Sonnon's work about five years ago, starting with the Grappler's Toolbox to supplement by BJJ training. In 2001, I had the opportunity to get to know and train with Scott pretty closely. I trained with him in a small group setting three times a week for most of the year. The information and guidance he left me with has kept me busy ever since.
Currently I train with my good friend and coach, Barra Gracie Black Belt Mamazinho Vilamor, in Seattle. I'm a purple belt and compete when I can. I also train occasionally with 2x Olympian boxer Robert Shannon, but my schedule prevents me from focusing on boxing. Besides spending time with my family, working, coaching my son's soccer team, and BJJ, I plan to return to school next fall to earn a M.S. in medical engineering.
My time online is limited, but I'm grateful to have access to the knowledge and talent present on this board. I look forward to interacting with all of you.
