Why does it seem so hard for people to eat well. Once one mention things like eating organic meats and staying away from pastas, sweets, etc. People think that their lives are ruined. People really seem to LIVE TO EAT, instead of EATING TO LIVE. It just amazes me. People will not give up anything and they still wonder why thier health is in the sink. :o :o

Are you talking about you or a loved one that is being kind of frustrating?
I can tell you how it was for me.
I get an actual drug-like hit from whites & sweets. So when I suddenly cut it out, not only did I experience withdrawal symptoms that feel like crap, but I didn't get the schwiiiinng I was used to and was left with the underlying gray health.
Plus I didn't know how to buy or cook food that was new & weird to me and there is no drive-through salmon & berries yet.
However - the happy ending is, I got advice & support for fixing all this a little at a time. Took about 6 months to go from a very bad eating program to organic whole foods, without the bad side effects, and with lots of fun.
And here's the best part: I found out that for people like me who respond like that to crap foods: I was born like that into a culture that fed it to me from birth. So I didn't even know what it was like to feel great! I had never felt it! Now I do and I will NEVER go back, and it is no problem declining the crap because, who would ever eat it when you finally experience how second-rate it is.
So I have compassion for people who are hanging on to that stuff. It's quite a lot of behaviors to change and you gotta wanna.

Food can be abused and can become an addiction, like any drug. We need to remain compassionate for this reason, for it is the most widespread drug abuse in existence.
