They say 1 in 4 Americans is obese. It looked more like 3 in 4 to me in Vegas. And they were all in line for the All you can eat buffet. Americans are programmed to think food is a reward, more food is better and free food is best.
It was so easy to eat and train in vegas. Every hotel is basically a spa. I did my CB/KB work with dumbells, I didn't run or swim, but if you do, it was there for you.
We had a big scoop of peanut butter or protien bar (which we brought) and coffee with cream in the morning. A burger or Chicken salad type thing at the pool for lunch and went to amazing dinners and had beautiful steak, salmon, sea bass, etc...
Had a couple drinks, split a couple deserts. The polish vodaka at Red Square was unreal. It just wasn't that hard.
It comes back to a couple very insightful recent post here. Figure out why you're eating things you don't want to and you'll be well on the way to not doing it. Then you can enjoy eating for performance, experimenting with new ideas etc... Keep posting - the discovery is what keeps the motivation up.
