Coach Szolek,
In your current resistence regimen, are you exclusively using Clubbells?
I'm just wondering if it would be possible to give up all the other gym stuffs [dumbells, barbells, power rack] and still become big and strong.
Think about it, a room full of stuff or just a nice rack against one wall.
I'll take the rack against the wall. I'm sure my wife will be happy about that too.
Thanks for looking,
James Linn

James,
first of all, aplogies for my late response, I've been consumed with rehab and healing the past few days.
On to your question,
In your current resistence regimen, are you exclusively using Clubbells?
Yes.
I have found nothing out there to offer the 3 Dimensional, Full Range, resistance that I get from Clubbells.
There really is not an element of strength and conditioning that cannot be trained with Clubbells and Circular Strength Training.
As for getting "big and strong" on Clubbells alone. I think that Circular Strength Training not only epitomizes training for size and strength, but it forces the growth to be stimulated through 3 Dimensional, extreme ranges of motion so your gains are go beyond bulk and redefine strength.
So these are my opinions based from my extensive training in varied types of Strength Training. If you're looking for a more detailed answer please sharpen your question. And if you're looking for a detailed plan to take you beyond bulk, then check out my upcoming Anabolic Bruiser Conditioning Manual.

Hi Coach,
No problem! I know your a busy guy. I am very grateful you take the time to answer, thank you!

I'll be buying my Clubbells in December. Shipping to Taiwan is just too costly [$200 for welter class]
I'll also be ordering Coach Sonnon's Clubbell book and video and I'll pick up your two books too.
Looking forward to training with these beauty's.
Thank you for your time,
James Linn

Coach, if you don't mind me jumping on here, for how long were you using the leverage bar you wrote about in CST mag? What kind of results did you achieve and how do they compare to what you've been doing with the Bruiser (in terms of strength, explosiveness, speed, endurance, hypertrophy, etc.)?
This is more than idle curiosity on my part...I train primarily with free weights with some Grappler's Toolbox exercises thrown in. I've come to a crossroads where I think I need to either sophisticate my current training (with bands, chains, releasers, new protocols, etc.) or try something completely new (like Clubbells, the Fulcrum Bar).
Thanks,
Brian

I think the biggest difference between the Fulcrum Bar and the Clubbells comes to GPP and SPP. Clubbells, can be used with amazing efficiency for GPP and SPP, where as the Fulcrum Bar is especially design for GPP.
To define the two terms for the purposes of this conversation:
GPP work has the goal of increasing work Capacity.
SPP work has the goal of enhancing work Sophistication.
So, I was using the Fulcrum Bar on a previous cycle this year where I wished to increase my foundation of work Capacity. And boy did I! At the end of that cycle, I was at my strongest ever to that date, and the whole body loading of that work had me going through some inhuman growth.
When that cycle was over, I moved into SPP with my Clubbells to Sophisticate the brute strength that I had gained with the Fulcrum Bar.
My current work with ABC training and CST to the end of Functional Hypertrophy is something of a combination of GPP and SPP because I'm involving very coordinated movements (Samson Cast) and some more gross motor exercises (Clockwork Squats). Though here is where I need to say that if your skill level with Circular Strength Training is high enough, then the lines between GPP and SPP really blur and it comes down to how you approach each set and rep.
So if you're ready for a switch in your training, I know that you will get all that you need and more from Clubbell Training for Circular Strength. And if you have a need or desire for a specialized increase in your work capacity and brute strength and power, then join so many others in anticipating the release of Leverage Lifting with the Fulcrum Bar.
Question?

Thanks, Coach, that summed it up nicely. I think I will hold off for the Fulcrum Bar before I jump into Clubbells. I'm probably a bit too obsessed with brute strength.
