Hey everybody

I have been having this strain in my right forearm/ bicep area for the longest. I know yall like forearm/ bicep area? Well let me explain. When ever I flex with my hand facing away from my body I can feel pain. But when ever I flex with my hand facing toword my body I dont feel anything.

When I flex and feel the pain, it seems to be coming from my forearm and bicep. But Iam kind of thinking that it might just be my forearm thats hurting because thats what I have to move around to feel the pain, but I could be wrong. I thought after a while that the pain would go away on its own but I was wrong. I also tried putting heat on it for like 2 or 3 days but didnt do anything.

Just to let you guys know I do not have the warrior wellness. But hoping to get it soon as it probley might help it.

But in the mean time do you guys have any suggestion on what I should do about this, and how could I avoid this again in the future. I think I could probley answer that last question for myself. Like maybe getting the warrior wellness and warm up better.

Oh yea I havnt exersised in about 3 weeks now because of this, my buddy told me not to because I could make it worse. But I want to get back to training so bad. And I do bodyweight exersies scrapper's bodyweight exersies.

Oh yea and could this be something else instead of a strain?

I agree with your buddy Mark, not to strain it while it's not working right. Did you strain it initially, is that what happened to make it sore? How long has it felt that way? Probably just a tension imbalance at the extreme range-of-motion required with your arm straight out and hand away from you. Moving through that range, without force or weight, will probably restore it unless there is some kind of medical issue with it, the only way to know that for sure is have a doctor look at it. WW is exactly that kind of unloaded range-of-motion program.

Disclaimer: there are more knowledgeable opinions here on the forum, so check back and see who else responds.

Hi rbibbs!

Actually its kind of a funny story how this problem came about. I was flexing alot feeling my new mucles in my arm. And I guess I was flexing to much and then it started hurting a little. At first I was joking around about it because I thought I was just over doing it and my mucsle got tired. But now its not so much as a joke anymore.

I have had this problem with my arm going on about 3 weeks now. I hate having this exscues about not working out because of this.

Mark, some strengthbuilding activities can produce residual tension in one or both of a muscle pair, reducing the ability to relax the countermuscle at extremes of motion. There's also such things as 'growing pains' when you're strengthbuilding, most will work themselves out as long as your strengthbuilding is balanced and you keep range-of-motion as a co-goal to strength. (Strength without motion is pretty useless.)

Yes I'd highly recommend WW for this application, it is a flexibility/agility diagnostic, building, rebuilding tool.

It is possible to continue training with the condition you describe, but not the same exact training that caused the condition. Do other things, work other body areas, while that one loosens up and adapts to what you've done already. And move it gently, without force or pain beyond 5 on a 10 scale, through the zone where you're feeling difficulty.
