Hello,

My dad has had a bad back for as long as I can remember. He had a motorcycle accident before I was born and he hurt his back at work as well. The result was a herniated disc in the neck and two herniated discs in the low back and he says it affects his left arm. The doctor told him that if he didn't have surgery on the low back he would lose control of his bowels and bladder. My dad said that he supposes the surgery helped a little but he doesn't consider it to be a success. He has been going to the chiropractor for quite some time. It sounds like my dad was quite athletic when he was younger but I don't remember seeing him run or jump or ever be very active. When I was growing up I remember him spending a lot of time on the heating pad.

I've been thinking that Warrior Wellness, or something like it, might be good for him. When I asked him if he'd be willing to try an exercise program that's specifically for joint health he said he might be interested. I don't want to just give him a Warrior Wellness DVD and say "here do this" without getting some educated thoughts on the subject about any special concerns he might have. He also sounded a little skeptical so I think it might help if there was a way for him to learn some of the theory behind it so he can understand why it works and what's going on.

I'd really appreciate any thoughts. I think it would really improve his quality of life if there was something that could help him.

Thanks.

Chris,

You must have your Father's Health Care Professional evaluate it first hand to see if he can be cleared to work on it.

I sincerely hope it works out for you and your father.

Good Luck!
