Are you waiting for a release of Clubbell Training for Circular Strength in DVD format?

If there were added content maybe but the video is sufficient for me. I'm sure newbies would prefer the DVD & if I were buying fresh I would probably rather have it on DVD. But IMO I dont feel it is necessary to re-purchase the same material on a different media.

I'd certainly buy the Z-health library on DVD.

I wouldn't repurchase the things I have on tape though.
Thank you,

DVD is a great format. For future purchases, if given the choice, I too would prefer DVD.

Definitely DVD, the ability to slow things down even further to allow for more detailed study would be a great asset.

I would prefer the DVD format. I hate to keep the VCR around for just a few tapes.

DVD. I am in the (albeit slow) process of converting EVERYTHING in my library onto DVD. Those things that I already have included!

It would also be cool if there were an additional discount for those who have purchased the VHS tape already. :)

DVD or DVD-R are equally fine in my book. This would also reduce the cost of converting your titles to digital format. Almost all the new players will play DVD-R now without any problems; anyone with the $$$ to spend on DVD instructionals can easily pick up/upgrade to a brand new, DVD-R compatible player for the cost of one or two instructionals these days, as well.

I would be much more likely to purchase a DVD, simply because of the ease of use and higher portability of the product.

I would highly recommend, even urge you to look into putting your material on DVD.

I am in the video production business myself, producing lecture videos, and this is what my company has found.

There are several good reasons to go to DVD. First, my company is now selling DVD to tape at about ten to one. New buyers seem to prefer DVD and this will often make the difference in choosing to buy a video or not.

Second, VHS tapes are soon to be a thing of the past, going the way of the eight track and cassette tape. In some countries such as Taiwan it is almost imposable to get new VHS equipment from what friends there tell me.

Third, the non-linier format of DVD makes it a lot easier to navigate to the area of the video you want to view. This would be especially useful with something like the Clubbells video, where someone might want to review a particular exercise. Chapters make this a much more pleasant experience.

Fourth, the copy protection for DVD is much stronger and presents less problems in production than those for VHS. VHS tapes are relatively easy to bootleg, even if copy protected. DVD's are a lot harder to illegally duplicate unless you are willing to invest a good chunk of money into equipment.

Fifth, DVD's are much easer to both store and travel with. they also do not degrade as quickly as tape. (A VHS tape pretty much starts degrading the moment it is made).

Sixth, recent advances in computer technology make producing professional DVD's much less expensive than previously.

I hope that this information will be useful to you.

I already have the VHS version of CST. It's great, but DVD would be so much better especially if you can go right to the exercise that you want to review again instead of having to fast forward to the exercise that you want to practice. I say YES to DVD!!!!

Another point for putting things onto DVD, aside from another nice format, is that shipping the things to other countries... (ie. UK! )... Will be FAR easier, due to the smaller sizings of the things, and you wont need to put them into either PAL or NSTC format, due to the fact almost all DVD players in Europe can play the american format!

So in the long term it'd probably be a good investment.... That, and you'd be able to play it on your computer  !

Oh yeah, DVD's are less likely to get chewed up by an evil tape player.... nearly happened to my Zdorovye tapes, but lucky for me it was an old player anyway, so i just smashed the thing to get the tapes out! (If you dont have the tapes, buy them... if you dont have a credit card, steal one and buy them... if you cant steal a credit card, get a clubbell and beat yourself up with it for being so unlucky!  )

I'd honestly look very forward to the ROSS tapes on DVD format, so i'd be able to take them to whereever i am posted when i get into the RAF... *winkwinknudgenudge*

DVD format would be the way to go for all of the above reasons, and I have a few others:

- Laptop computers: play your DVD and get your CST training done anywhere. Mini-DVD players are common too.

- The most advanced physical training tools on the planet shouldn't have to rely on an outmoded, dying video format. Let the medium reflect the product.

- Competitor & Comrade Pavel Tsatsouline has been offering DVD for a while... as have many others.

- The capacity of DVDs to hold entire 3-tape series on 1 disk would be a great way to maximize efficiency of production and transmission of the message.

About the ability to hold entire series' on one DVD.

And because it's digital, would it not make the quality improve? I dont know about this one though... anyone know about this?

I think it goes without saying...anything that RMAX Productions puts out on DVD will sell very well.

would it not be cheaper to produce the vids on DVD. you real only have to get one machine and the DVD's. I'v looked at some DVD production stuff and was amaized at the low cost.

DVD us the way to go. Especially for referencing the material.

It is so much faster / easier to navigate thru the material if it was in DVD format.

Doing fast forward & rewind on the DVD would be time consuming.

Look forward to aving the DVD's.

Any idea on when the relase is?
Is the release for a few DVD's at a time or is it all together in 1 shot?

Thanks.

Joe,

New programs will be released on DVD first; after that - some other programs will be transferred into DVD format.

Thanks for the response Nikolai.

That helps me deciding what material to get.

Coach Sonnon (& R-MAX crew):

Please make sure Warrior Wellness is on DVD as well. My video copy is so worn down it's not even funny.

There are so many instructionals I'd like to buy, but I refuse to buy videos anymore becasue of how quickly they wear down after repeated viewings. Also, having a DVD menu saves time rewinding and does not effect picture quality after repeated viewings.

The only reason I don't already own several programs is because they aren't on DVD... Yet!

Well, I guess I should have read some of the other posts before I asked about the DVDs....

I think there have been enough positive comments, but let me add my 1.5 cents worth: I'd probably own 3 or 4 of your titles already if they were available on DVD.

Edwin

Definitely! It is more convenient for me as most VHS systems now are inoperable and repairs are more expensive than buying a new DVD player.
Thanks,
Edwin
